The second one is the look for him? Well, that's definitely different. Could be worth it if Venom eventually starts taking more liberties with his newfound authority.

I love the new suit, but if any character's going to get the modernized treatment it doesn't need to be somebody who already has an iconic "costume".

... No. It's a regular Scorpion suit, dude. A different design, but no hint of being symbiote related in any way. And that's a good thing.

Tony Moore was interviewed on a recent episode of the Television Zombies podcast. When asked what was was next for him, Moore talked about a pitch he proposed for a popular character from the 90's that hasn't been seen for awhile.

I love this new direction the character is going in, a government agent role sounds like we will see a lot more action, and with the government in control, it sounds like a recipe for disaster on an epic scale. It's only a matter of time until they lose control of the suite. I can't wait for this new series. VENOM RULES!!!!

Its Flash Thompson, out of all teh candidates he is the only one that would fit and make it interesting. Besides he would be the first venom to NOT hate Spider-man which is an interesting twist

I am pretty excited for this, to be honest. 

  @G-Man: it kinda looks like a noir venom, and i wonder if they are going to do a full story reboot and if they do which way are they going to do the introduction of venom... if the creators do I have to ask if they are going to go with the whole falling out of space on a meteorite or if they do the whole space shuttle crash and rather than the symbiote stick to Spidey it instantly sticks to Jameson.

I`m gonna say it`s more than likely, John Jameson .... But it wouldn`t surprise me if it were Vin Gonzalez
 
But I think the best idea would be, Maybe a New Take on a different Character.

I only read the first page of comments, so excuse me if I repeat anyone, but if it's John Jameson, I'd say everything will go just fine, until he turns into Man-Wolf.

I like the new look, but it isn't Venom. And Government control? That might make an interesting Story...

Well. Marvel seems to be 'revamping' their symbiotes. First Carnage, now Venom...

I'm kinda looking forward to this... Even though hes in a suit like that ... hes still going to be more or less the same as black suit spidey (power wise). and the pictures are showing him hulked out too (the bottom pic is mac gargan verison)... I'm guessing the character is going to be quite schizophrenic good in front of some people, killing others in "the shadows". It can't be punisher... the character has red eyes on speak peak pictures I've seen. who could it be I guess well never know

Doesn't the Government ever learn? You can't control a monster! They should've learned from the Hulk.

Can't wait to find out who the new venom is. It has to be a brute like rhino or something...
