UPDATE: Robocop Release Date Pushed Back, Motorbike Revealed In Latest Set Photos

'Robocop' gets a new release date and a brand new motorbike.

About a week ago we got a look at some close up images of actor Joel Kinnaman as Robocop on the set of the upcoming Robocop movie. Those pictures gave us a better look at the costume and the details of the suit and confirmed for us that it is, quite definitely, a big departure from the costume we saw in the 1987 film. Apparently, Robocop will not only be getting a very fancy matte, stylish black suit; but an also very stylish black motorcycle.

While this does remind us a tiny bit of the TRON costume designs (remember the Light Cycles?), and while we don't recommend that this Robocop ride around at night (riding around in all black at night seems dangerous), we have to admit we think it looks kind of cool. What do you think of Robocop's new motorcycle? Check out more images of Kinnaman as Robocop below.

UPDATE

According to a source, the release date for ROBOCOP has been pushed back about six months; moving from August 9th, 2013 to February 7th 2014. Whether the complaints from avid fans online about the costume changes has something to do with the decision made earlier today by Sony Pictures, we don't know. Whatever the case may be, we're willing to wait a little bit longer if it means we'll get a better film. What do you think of the changes?

Robocop is set to hit theaters on on February 7th, 2014 and will star Joel Kinnaman as Robocop, Samuel L. Jackson as Pat Novak, Gary Oldman as Dr. Robert Norton and many more. The film was written by Michael Miner and Edward Neumeier and is being directed by Jose Padilha.
