UPDATE: Cyclops Will Return To Lead UNCANNY X-MEN

I am not surprise that Cyclops is going to be back soon and leading the X-Men like nothing happen. After another Marvel's major event everything is going back to the way it was.

@sEsposito7: I agree. I'm happy with the New 52 at all except for a few titles. I'm excited because of the changes made to the X-Men in terms of writing. I haven't been a big fan of some of the writing in a while with the exception of a few stories here and there. I love Bendis on most of what he does. The interesting thing is he's going to be writing a more easily aggitated and deadly Cyclops, and the teenage boyscout version from the past as well. I'm sure they'll play off of each other. As long as Cyclops isn't involved with the Jean Grey School of learing, that title should stay pretty damn original. The changes that have been made have got a lot of people excited, and negative fanboy responce has been at a minimum. A few nay sayers that just don't like Bendis because he's Bendis, but how long was he on the Avengers for? 7 years or something like that?

Aw man, that looks like Surge and Prodigy in the background. I really hope I am wrong...

just me or does magneto's costume look dumb? in fact, i don't really like any of these new outfits. so, we're just gliding past the whole murdered xavier thing and letting him lead a group calling themselves x-men? ballsy.

Dammit, why do I have to suffer through Cyclops just to get Magik in a regular book?

So far this and All New X-Men are probably the books I'm most looking forward to. Sucks to see Bachalo leave Wolverine and the X-Men. Not a fan of the current guy, Bradshaw.

While I'm very much excited for Scott's return, I don't dig the punk-overlord theme of the redesigns, they're trying to hard to make Scott and company 'scary' or something with the 'don't mess with us, human' vibe.

Next thing we know Emma becomes a Vuldarian warrior.

I am definitely going to check this out. After schism I was totally on the Wolverine side of things and pretty much completely ignored all things Cyclops however AvX Consequences has definatley made me see him in a new light. That last page of issue 5 with Cyclops was just plain awesome. Plus Bachalo on art!

I like the idea of it but I would have to see how its written. For all I know it could be really good, or could be really bad but I am willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. Besides lately Magneto has been more than just a villian and more of a good person who has done bad things.

I've never really given X-Men a chance, but this sounds excellent. I'll have to try it out.

im still going to continue i guess my only tqo complaints are those costumes suck, but ill get used to them

and bendis doesnt do well with team boooks. so yaa idk i guess ill have to check out issue 1

Emma and Magik's costumes look quite good, Magnetos on the other hand... I really love the Helmet, but the rest is, not an improvement, I liked his old costume better.

And really hating that Emma and Scott relationship is over, I'm honestly waiting it's not permanent.

the cover seem interesting and cyclops seem more interesting to me now that he's darker, gritty. i will add this to my pull list.

well ladies, villians it is.

So I finally get to hear about the real X-men. I LOVE this Cyclops. Finally he is doing what needs to be done. So pumped, except Bendis does worry me a little. He hasn't been horrible or anything. Just a little pacing problem with dialogue in teams. He can write solo characters very well. So now, more than ever is the time to see him pull it all together.

Fun to write?? That was Marvel's best couple ever! How he dares to say it was fun to write to split them?

But no, writters needed to constantly try to cause tension on that couple for the sake of it (like possessing Emma Frost 3 f*** times to make her kiss Namor.... really? 3 possessions to do that?? someone run out of imagination?) and now Bendis instead of what he should do (marry them after all they've been through) splits them... I'm starting to dislike the sound of this (I already disliked that Bendis was going to be the goto X-Writter...). My only hope is that Bendis uses to return everything to the state it was when he arrives (like Wasp and Scott Lang...), so maybe this only develops on them reuniting again as a couple.

Really, I couldn't find a better couple than them in Marvel Universe (not because they were 2 of my 3 fav. characters, but because how they complemented each other). Then writters felt the urge to mess with them for the sake of unnecessary drama. If this is all to make him date again Jean Grey I will be really mad, Cyclops and Emma made each other evolve a huge lot.

Don't tell me Emma's put more clothes on, that'll be disappointing. And are they even white?

Looks good, I just hope they break the mold in terms of writing!

as a cyclops fan I'll be reading this book even though I prefer more realistic look rather than bachalo but than again I'm having hard times to like the costumes. Why do you fuse AoA magneto and AoA sabethooth to make a new magneto

I like the new costumes, apart from Magneto - his helmet's nice, but I'm not sold on the rest.

Can't wait to see how there powers have changed. Now that the extinction team's smaller (and on the run), they could probably use a bit of an upgrade.

After reading AvX: Consequences, Cyclops is still the good guy to me, so what's he going to do now that his team are the "villains"? While I was very critical of how AvX was handled, I do like the changes that have come out of it.

I really enjoyed Uncanny X-Men's extinction team; after the unbelievable crimes committed against mutants for so long in the Marvel universe, it was nice to see Cyclops stand up and say enough is enough. The situation had clearly reached the point where he had more than every right to make protecting mutants his #1 priority, and the rest of the world could shut up and get out of his way. But now Captain America's taking on the responsibility of mutant protection... how will Cyclops take this, while he's being painted as the new Magneto?

I wouldn't say his art is incredible, but I do think its better than a lot of other artists' work. And I think something can be appreciated about the way he draws characters' bodies. Its interesting cuz they're very stocky and straight, but its still aesthetically pleasing. Cyclops' body in that cover is a perfect example of what I find at least interesting about his art.

I think I'm gonna pick this up.

The best part of this book? It will likely outsell All New and Wolverine & The X-men. Book's got pop, son!

I thought that (according to the last issue of Consequences) that Cyke, Mags, and Magic were going to be in All-New X-Men?  So all 3 of them are going to be in more than one series?

So are the New X-men and Uncanny X-men series going to be related at all, or are they going in different directions?

I don't live the idea of this what so ever. Personally I would get rid of All New X-Men even though I know they wont

@Owie: We only know that they're going to be in the first issue for sure. It'll likely show them on the run and Uncanny will take over once their little arc is finished.
