Am I the only one who didn't really care when they died? As I was reading this it didn't feel like anything permanent. Maybe if one of them died, but three? Maybe I'm just jaded to deaths in comics.

It's Marvel. There will be some convoluted return of Rogue in a year's time (if there's no healing factor to contend with within the next couple of issues) and I am not too sure Scarlet Witch is dead. I think the real casualty is Simon. :/

this book is just so good. best Avengers title on the shelf and thats a bold statement since Infinity killed it. So many good titles from Marvel for the past couple years. I love it.

If my LCS doesn't have it I would find the first printing somewhere else

Regardless of the hype and deaths this was a good issue. I've been enjoying this series for a while now and I'm not sure the three deaths are exactly what they seem.

Yeah, with Rogue and Scarlet Witch getting the majority of fan-distress, and their place on the cover serving as almost a tribute/send off, it's like Wonder Mans exit has been given less impact. This kind of pose would be what I'd have in mind:

Can someone please tell me what is going on with Sentry in this. He beat up Thor and that's all Ive heard. I need all the grisly details.

Rogue is my favourite - if not my most favourite out of all comic characters, but the person who sacrificed himself and conducted himself with honour would be Simon so yeah, you're right about me ranking him above the other two.

Plus, it would take the sting away from the all female death grouping. :/

I like your idea very much -- the fading bit. Considering how those responsible for the story bemoaned the lack of fan-distress over Wonder Man's loss, not having a variant with him involved in some way is disappointing.

It would have been nice to see a variant instead of this altered colour version. A Wonder Man fading away shot would have been cool, and would make up for him not being featured on the first print cover.

Agreed. Out of all three characters, he deserved the spotlight more considering what he did.

I think it's been pretty clear since issue 1 that the main rivalry in the book is between Rogue and Scarlet Witch and so they wanted to highlight that. Wonder Man, to my knowledge, doesn't sell a title as much as SW or Rogue would, hence they get cover time in order to lure more people into buying it.

Hmm, maybe I'll have to pick this all up as a trade or something. I haven't really been paying attention to all this. I was wondering what Wonder Man was up to just the other day.

I swear, I have no interest in Uncanny Avengers anymore now that Rouge is dead. Like, why should I even bother now?
