UNCANNY AVENGERS #14 Gets a Second Printing

The issue everyone was talking about will be available again.

UNCANNY AVENGERS #14 had some shocking moments. People have been talking and speculating over what happened. We even talked to Rick Remender and Tom Brevoort shortly after the issue went on sale. It's no surprise the issue sold out. While you might still be able to find copy at your local comic shop, retailers were not able to order more copies. Marvel has just announced a second printing will soon be available. I'm curious to see how the other team members react to everything that happened.

It’s one of the most shocking comics of the year – and today, Marvel is proud to announce that Uncanny Avengers #14 has sold out at the distributor level (though copies may be available at retail level) and will immediately be going back to press. From the all-star creative team of Rick Remender and Steve McNiven comes one of the most talked about comics of 2013!

“Remender has reached an important point in his saga that is as dramatic and emotional as it is bloody. Steve McNiven is just the artist to handle all those elements.” - IGN.com

“One of the most tense superhero books I’ve read in a long time” – Newsarma.com

“What it comes down to is, you should not miss this issue” – ComicVine.com

The Avengers Unity Squad stands fractured in their attempts to stop the Apocalypse Twins. Can they settle their differences in time? Or are they too far gone? It all builds to the most shocking moment of 2013 – and one that will have rippling effects across the entire Marvel Universe! You don’t want to miss this issue when UNCANNY AVENGERS #14 returns to comic shops this January!

"All these characters die in a book, and it gets a second priting!!....it's clear that people LOVED that they died, and no other reason like curiosity,or interest led to the purchase of the book!!" said every Marvel exec.

Same with Spider-Man.

I swear, I have no interest in Uncanny Avengers anymore now that Rouge is dead. Like, why should I even bother now?

@cafeterialoca: I felt the same way when Nightcrawler died in Uncanny X-MEN and I dropped the book.

But in this case not so much, I love this book

I feel for you. It's weird that they killed her off so soon. But I guess she will be back like everyone else.

Hmm, maybe I'll have to pick this all up as a trade or something. I haven't really been paying attention to all this. I was wondering what Wonder Man was up to just the other day.

Not sure why I didn't think of this before, but considering the contents of the issue, why is Wonder Man not on this cover?

@themanintheshoe: dude no need to black light your post everyone knows what happend

I think it's been pretty clear since issue 1 that the main rivalry in the book is between Rogue and Scarlet Witch and so they wanted to highlight that. Wonder Man, to my knowledge, doesn't sell a title as much as SW or Rogue would, hence they get cover time in order to lure more people into buying it.

Agreed. Out of all three characters, he deserved the spotlight more considering what he did.

@lykopis: I hadn't quite thought of the order in which they deserved the spotlight. Are you ranking Wonder Man highly for sacrificing himself?

It would have been nice to see a variant instead of this altered colour version. A Wonder Man fading away shot would have been cool, and would make up for him not being featured on the first print cover.

@v_scarlotte_rose:

Rogue is my favourite - if not my most favourite out of all comic characters, but the person who sacrificed himself and conducted himself with honour would be Simon so yeah, you're right about me ranking him above the other two.

Plus, it would take the sting away from the all female death grouping. :/

I like your idea very much -- the fading bit. Considering how those responsible for the story bemoaned the lack of fan-distress over Wonder Man's loss, not having a variant with him involved in some way is disappointing.

@z3ro180: just trying to be secretive for those who happened to not have read it

Can someone please tell me what is going on with Sentry in this. He beat up Thor and that's all Ive heard. I need all the grisly details.

Edited by V_Scarlotte_Rose

@lykopis: I'm sorry to see that your favourite is out of play for the time being. :/

Yeah, with Rogue and Scarlet Witch getting the majority of fan-distress, and their place on the cover serving as almost a tribute/send off, it's like Wonder Mans exit has been given less impact. This kind of pose would be what I'd have in mind:

Regardless of the hype and deaths this was a good issue. I've been enjoying this series for a while now and I'm not sure the three deaths are exactly what they seem.

Do people really buy second printings lol

If my LCS doesn't have it I would find the first printing somewhere else

this book is just so good. best Avengers title on the shelf and thats a bold statement since Infinity killed it. So many good titles from Marvel for the past couple years. I love it.

They will all be back when Kang's time travel shennannigans retcons the whole thing.

Also.. too bad they reprinted... i was hoping to e-bay mine!

@v_scarlotte_rose:

It's Marvel. There will be some convoluted return of Rogue in a year's time (if there's no healing factor to contend with within the next couple of issues) and I am not too sure Scarlet Witch is dead. I think the real casualty is Simon. :/

I love your rendering -- I hope you posted it to your art thread.

Am I the only one who didn't really care when they died? As I was reading this it didn't feel like anything permanent. Maybe if one of them died, but three? Maybe I'm just jaded to deaths in comics.
