I think this probably debunks the theories running around that Jarvis will transform into Ultron though. Too bad, I'd love to see more of Bettany - JARVIS aside...dude is an amazing actor. Wish he was more active.

Good casting but i'm still not happy with Tony being the creator of Ultron

One of my favorite roles for Spader was Daniel Jackson from Stargate. I only know a bit about Ultron, but I think this could be pretty cool.

Why not just use a voice software (Like Siri or Android) for a computer generated Ultron robot? Otherwise, Alan Rickman would be a good synthesized voice-over too for Ultron. I just don't want it to sound like Kit of Knightrider.

I really hope this casting debunks rumours that JARVIS will be Ultron - I hate the idea of Jarvis being Ultron... I don't mind if Tony creates Ultron but not through Jarvis. Ultron needs to be an original/independent villain.

In the movie Crash, he and wife Deborah Kara Unger shag everything in sight and fall into a fetish group that gets off on watching and being in car crashes. (He also creampies Rosanna Arquette's thigh scar)In Less Than Zero, Spader is Robert Downey Jr's drug dealer, and when RDJ can't make the payments, Spader pimps out RDJ as a gay rent boy to pay the debt. In Secretary, James Spader has a BDSM relationship with his new secretary, Maggie Gyllenhaal, in which he has her answer phones dressed as a pony girl, getting spanked for spelling errors, in arm braces, wearing ball gags, etc. In other words, James Spader plays guys who are a little... dark.

This is a superb choice.

The only reason to see this movie. Spader is terrific.

I've been pretty critical of Marvel's casting lately, but this seems to be a very inspired choice. Considering the comedic nature of Whedon's Avengers, I don't think there is a more fitting voice out there for Ultron.
