The Spider-Verse story premieres next weekend in the UK on Disney XD, I just checked my listings

So it's okay for DP to break the forth wall but not Spidey who came first and in some instances broke the forth wall and is self aware too.

Did'nt they get Spetacular's Spidey VA to record lines for the character's apperance in EMH and they redubbed it with the Ultimate voice actor? Pretty certain I heard that

People the show got a lot better, the fourth wall jokes have been almost removed, the team arent as much of jerks, and the dialogue is better written

straight up, i think im gonna start watching this show. realistically, from what i've seen, the show isnt even that bad. take out those 4th wall moments & the shows actually pretty decent, no?

I'm pretty much the most lenient Spider-Fan there is. I was fine with his lack of Humor and excessive corniess in Sam Raimis attempts. I was fine with the fact he pretty much only "Web Swinged" on the Animated Series. I was even a big fan of the live action show despite him having "rope" webs..... That said I'm also a fan of Man of Action as a cartoon writing team..... THAT said I hate how they write Spidey in this series. If they wanted a cartoony, wacky, kid craze inducing spidey they should have got the writers from Batman: Brave and the Bold or Super Hero Squad....

Sigh.... why do we have to keep putting up with networks screwing us over. Animation is the best and most important way of translating comic books into other forms of media, it should be treated better then this. Still better then Teen Titans Go though.

I've watched at least 8 episodes of this new season. I didn't like it. Agent Venom was cool though.

@zarius: Spectacular Spider-Man was done by Sony. I'm sure the legalities of it wouldn't let Marvel continue it once Sony gave up the rights.

It's worse off for fans like me who think this show AND the comics are tarnishing Spider-Man (well, all except the Spider-Girl comics and the dailies, they're the only things keeping me a fan these days), much of the franchise is now a smug self-aware parody of itself

Agreed to whoever said EMH should never have been axed, but even it was being meddled with near it's end by Loeb, remember it got a lot more filler eps near the end? We were also robbed of the chance to have closure for the Spectacular Spidey cartoon because Loeb wanted to keep things consistent with the voice-acting on Ultimate

this show is horrible ...this and the teen titans go... even if i was a kid i would hate this crap! emh and young justice replaced by this crap...just when i thought superhero cartoons were becoming great they get cancelled . whatever ....i

l will stick to the comics ..this shows tarnished spidey for me. if they got rid of all the forth wall garbage it would be watchable maybe ...so many great spidey stories and they come up with utter rubbish like this .

I just love it when Spider-Man villains beat up other superheroes and show just how dangerous they are.

Absolutely. I wish they would've just continued EMH instead of replacing it with the mediocre Avengers Assemble as a way to create a series that draws (waaaaay too) heavily from the movies, but still manages to lack all the qualities that made them fun.

Also, we'll never see the Surtur sub-plot come to fruition. Which makes me sad.

Man everything is such a downgrade from EMH. The voice acting, animation, story and everything else is just mediocre compared to EMH.

Some episodes from this season have already aired in the UK, it's a little better than the last two series but is still heavily flawed

It would have been cool if they ACTUALLY showed the fights instead of just going into a Street Fighter thing...

It's already been going on for several years. It sounds like you just found this out?

@boynerdgeek: The show may not be for you then. It's not natural for the character but it's part of the show. I can overlook it for the sake of all the other stuff the show contains. It's not comic book Spidey.
