Ah, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. What a great cartoon. At least my memory tells so. I loved that cartoon. I was in comic-cartoon heaven with that show. You can't forget the X-Men episodes either. Although I never understood why they gave Wolverine an Australian accent. Look for a clip on youtube if you don't believe me. It's just pure madness that this hasn't been released on dvd yet. I'm sure it's tied up in some legal battle for rights. I know I'd definitely buy it the day it came out. Some day...
Back to what this is really about, Ultimate Spider-Man. It's still hard getting used to not having Mark Bagley drawing this. I totally get why he had to leave. He's been drawing Spider-Man for years. He needs a break. He could probably draw him with his eyes closed. It was nice seeing him on this week's Mighty Avengers. So I know I'm not really giving Stuart Immonen a fair chance. It's just his style is different. Looking at these pages, it's growing on me. This issue looks like it's full of that teen angst stuff.
