The outfit is starting to warm up to me. I'm starting to like it more and more as the movie develops but the mask however is ABSOLUTELY horrible. It makes him look like a martian, with the big head and what not.

Why isn't this a news story yet. These look bad ass!

Looks pretty cool, planning to see. I agree that I like Cap's outfit in the first movie better than what's shown here, the mask looks a little weak...?

@Gambit1024: Me twent-teen.. the mask looks awful, and if you check out the shield it looks like it was either air brushed or added in later.

I don't know what it is, but this new Cap helmet doesn't look as good as the WWII era one.

It's S.H.I.E.L.D.'s official logo. They had that logo for a long while. I know people are hating on the Cap helmet and I can definitely see why, but it is what it is. Getting a better view of Thor's costume, I rather prefer the one he wore in his movie.

Right now Cap's costume doesn't stack up to how awesome it looked in his own movie.

They made the lead villain (Green Goblin) look kinda' stupid in the first Spider-Man movie... Just sayin'...

meh, caps costume looks like an expensive cosplay, but not something for a superhero movie. Maybe it'll look better in the movie

All that is missing from that costume is glitter...

They better cgi the hell out of it before the final release >_<

I think caps costume looks fine, the helmet is a bit wack for a still shot. But i'll give it the benefit of doubt, i bet it will look fine in motion (mb even they CGI it a bit)

I don't think Chris Evans has any control over the size of his head...

And to anyone who is suggesting they CGI over the costume, do you have any idea: 1. How much photo-realistic CGI costs, especially as a last minute addition? 2. How ridiculous it would look put over existing footage? 3. How much you all would point to it to complain about the excessive use of CGI in a movie that's already going to be pretty CGI heavy? The costume looks fine and will looks better on screen and in motion, I guarantee.

Have to agree not too terribly fond of Cap's new costume design, should have been left alone BUT I think the intent for the movie was to update him and have him modern looking with the times to reflect his new status in "our" time. Also, I don't think it is that big of a deal, really, I can live with it quite well, especially if the movie is going to be good. Having high hopes for it and can't wait to see it!

Captain America looks horrible. This helmet sucks!!!!

Was about to say that, but it's true. There was nothing wrong with the First Avenger suit, this one... just seems too bright and cartoony.

Yeah Captain's mask isn't well chosen, would have been better without it just like Thor's mask. In the other hand, I do love the costume. I predict a global note of 7/10 for the movie.

The second image I'm sure I've seen before, on one of the trailers possibly.

Agree that Cap's costume is awful, it's looked terrible from the get go. I'm not so keen on Thor's revamp either to be honest.

So people don't like the new Cap costume then? I think it's looked fine in all of the trailers they've released so far.

First impression I had of Cap's mask and costume was that it sucked. Now, every time I see a new image of it, I think it looks cooler than before. I'll probably love it when the movie comes out

Cap's outfit is just sad. And for that matter, Black Widow and Hawkeye don't look so great, either. Starke and Thor are going to carry this movie.

I think part of the problem with Cap's costume here is the contras with the others' costumes.  They're both black and utilitarian, very non-comicbook (or at least not the classic comic look), while Cap's is super bright and very comic-y.  He looks out of place in comparison with them.  If their costumes looked more like his, there wouldn't be as much of an issue.  Of course, Black Widow's was always like that.  But if Hawkeye's was his classic purple get up, Cap wouldn't look so out of place.
