Are you excited for TRON LEGACY? If you are not or if you have not heard much about it, then take a first look at the UK version of the film's movie poster recently released by HEYUGUYS courtesy of Disney. What do you guys think of the first teaser image and movie poster? 

Synopsis: TRON: LEGACY is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (JEFF BRIDGES), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant Quorra (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey of escape across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

 We got our first glimpse of TRON back in July during San Diego Comic Con. If you did not have your first look at the teaser trailer for the upcoming film, then here is your chance. Check out the trailer for TRON, which is set to hit theaters in December, 2010.

@Babs: the special effects look amazing but there wasn't really anything in the trailer that made me say "wow that's going to be a fun movie"....who knows maybe as more stuff from the movie is released I'll change my mind

I won't even watch the trailer, all I know is I will see this one!  I LOVE the idea behind this, especially with Jeff Bridges in it.  Its not simply a re-make, and that's even better.

Why do people call this a trailer. It's a preview, teaser at best. And that image looks impressive, like the poster. Can't wait to see this.

Both are played by David Warner, who also plays the MCP's human buddy in the real world. 
 
Tron has been a longtime inspiration for computer geeks for three decades now.  Unfortunately, because computers were considered 'cheating' when it came to special effects at the time, the original TRON was denied any awards for its visual achievements.  While many don't like the heavy-handed spiritual sci-fi of the first film, few can deny that it was groundbreaking.

Where did that synopsis come from?  It talks about the "digital world of Tron"...but there is no "world of Tron".  The "world" was the ENCOM mainframe.  Tron was a character in the original movie. 
 
It also points out that KEVIN FLYNN has been living in the computer.  So have we completely done away with the whole "computer counterpart" thing...like how Flynn had Clu in the first movie (before MCP destroyed Clu)?  Also, would that mean the dood in the yellow is Flynn's new version of Clu...or is it Flynn himself...or is it MCP?  Who is the dood he kills?  Is it Tron?  Is it Sark?  I mean, you can't very well have a movie named "Tron" without Tron in it...I would think.  I mean, where is Alan during all of this stuff?  Is this ONLY focusing on the Flynn family?
 
How much canon does this hold with the Tron 2.0 "sequel" from the PC and Xbox?  Will we see Jet Bradley at all?  Will there be a mention of him at all?  I'm going to assume that no canon is being held with events from Kingdom Hearts II, although Sark and MCP were in that.
 
Man, there's so much awesomeness to go on with the movie...but there's also so much confusion.  I know the movie will be awesome, but I just have so many questions spanning that large time period they have there.  I mean, 25 years?  Geez. 
 
My God, I'm too much of a Tron nerd... 
 
ComicVine, if you guys get the chance to ever interview someone about Tron Legacy, I need answers!!!

It seems like Disney has decided to just keep making this little clip better and better as far as quality goes.  I hope we get a trailer with different footage here in the next few months.  I'm sure they'll be a new one once the big Summer films start to drop.  It's going to be awesome.

all the little viral websites and hints around have been amazing so far... 
 
the FLYNN LIVES stuff is amazing, their website has some really good stuff about the new movie if you can crack the Tron code
