Not good but still better than "The Next Mutation"

Still not sure why Shredder is the Anime version of a cheese grater... but ok... why not

According to one critic thats been to the screening: the movie is not worth watching and apparently Bay has done the same thing he did with Transformers; not making about the non-humans, its focused on the human... in this case its April.

(Oh and that elevator scene is apparently the only highlight)

I'm sorry but Shredder looks flat out ridiculous. Like a walking cheese grater Decepticon, only lamer. He's menacing enough without being a walking knife shop. Still, at least this looks better than The Next Mutation.

Okay, this movie is still gonna suck, but at least they got Mikey mostly right. XD

I have mixed feelings about this movie. Yet my thoughts are mostly positive. Looking forward to it.

Michael Bay didn't direct the movie.

'Some' Film Critics these days are not worth the time paying any attention to because it all depends on peoples taste and curious about if a film is good or not. TMNT is NOT my 'go to see flick' as of now so to not give anymore credit to Michael Bay but at some point I'll see it, just not in a hurry.

The elevator scene is okay, it was a fun-quirky moment and they relieved the tension they had and to get fired up before facing Shedder. Still don't like the CGI though.

No character development for turtles in this film at all I heard...and they have a lot of Meagan Fox

I always kinda had this theory that Mikey wrote all their theme songs in-universe, like "Turtle Power" and "Ninja Rap".

LOVED the "cowabunga" scene. I had been wondering if they were gonna use that word.

Well the critic couldn't be bothered to notice that Bay didn't direct it so I don't see how he could be very good at his job. Even IGN would check on that kind of thing.

No way it's gonna get awesometacular. He gave Transformers dogsh*t.

All right hypocrites, if you're gonna give Bay sole blame for everything that might be wrong with this movie you have to blame Spielberg for everything wrong with Transformers because he had the same level of involvement with that, that Bay had with this.

@joshmightbe: Did I ever say anything about bay directing? No? Well that's because I didn't. And neither did said critic. And still Bay's fingerprints are already all over this, remember when he announced the turtles would be space aliens and everyone threw a fit?

@madeinbangladesh: I agree. Even GOTG didn't get one. And it deserved it. At best this film gets a good time no alcohol required.

@outside_85: So you're saying its ok to start blaming Spielberg for Transformers. He was the one who wanted it made, he okay'd the script, he okay'd the cast and he okay'd the final cut so if Bay being in the same position for this movie means he'd take the blame for those decisions also means the guy who directed ET and Schindler's List has to take that same level of blame for Transformers.

Or any weirder then Shredder's armor being changed when he drank the ooze in TMNT 2?

That critic obviously didn't watch the movie. April is only the major focus for the first 10 minutes. Once the Turtles come in, they drive the rest of the movie. This is far from Transformers, as they didn't make the Turtles into obnoxious, murderous, minstrel shows.

And the elevator scene is not the only highlight.

I remember when he said they had "alien origins" and people flipped out and the rumors got out of hand., I also remember when people thought donnie was a girl in this, and I remember people posted that the turtles would only be teenagers in flashbacks only, even though both april and the turtles refer to themselves as "teenagers"

Yea I thought GOTG deserved it too but I like that Jeremy doesn't hand awsometaculars out like candy and I respect him for that. And I definitely don't see this getting more than a good time if you're drunk. I have a better chance of wining the lottery and getting struck by lightning at the same time than this getting an awesometacular

This is the only thing I've seen from this flick that gives me any pause at all about skipping it in theatres. . . Not bad guys, not bad.

Still, in a world where the 2012 TV series exists, I can't fathom this movie.
