I know Tim Burton's Wonderland isn't really based on any comics. There have been comic adaptions of Alice's adventures over the years. When I saw the images that USA Today ran, I had to share.
In case you haven't heard, Tim Burton is giving us his interpretation of the classic tale. The movie will be released on March 5, 2010. According to the article:
Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember.
Alice will be played by Aussie actress Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway is the White Queen, Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter and Helena Bonham Carter will be the Queen of Hearts (USA Today refers to her as the "Red Queen").
