This Is Ultimate X

Now we finally get to see all the characters.

Funny.  I thought yesterday's "shadow reveal" showed us all the characters involved with "Ultimate X."  All of the shadowed figures had been revealed, right?  I have to give credit to Queen's Halo for commenting on how the image looked a little odd.  As if something was missing.  Looks like something was indeed missing:

This changes things quite a bit.  That sure looks like the Hulk.  Hulk is gray in the Ultimate Universe.  Is he actually joining this team or is this just another Hulk-type character?  I simply cannot wait for this.  I've been missing Art Adams' art for too long.  I'm not sure how this will fit in with the rest of the Ultimate Universe.  We'll have to see if this book is connected to any of the other surviving X-Men characters.
 
Now that we have all the characters shown (I think), does this change your opinions on the book in any way?  Do you think that's actually the Hulk?  What do you think the direction of the book will be?

I wonder if it's Nerd Hulk from Ultimate Avengers, or if they brought the real hulk back? 
 
Either way I'm looking forward to this. I love the Ultimate Comics.

jeph loebs a good writer. I thought ultimatum was great. it's exactly what you want from an ultimate book. Something you don't see everyday in a comic book

This is going to be interesting. I have don't have high hopes but I think that this will at the very least be better than Ultimates 3 (And definitely Ultimatum), which makes it worth reading. And gorgeous art :D

In the Ultimatum: X-Men - Requiem one-shot, when Jean, Rouge, Iceman, and Kitty Pryde were burying the bodies of their teamates, Mystique, Sabertooth and a hulk like guy called Assemble arrived.... 
 
He was a robot  version of Captain AMerica, Thor, Giant Man and Hulk put together... Maybe this the new and improved version!

Nerd Hulk is green, though, and this Hulk is gray. Either they're bringing the real hulk back, or this is a completely new Ultimate Hulk derivative.
 
Also, how much do you guys want to bet that these teens will all be at the same high school as Ultimate Spidey, Iceman, Kitty, and Human Torch are at now?

Still need to read ultimatum, but I liked Ultimates Vol 3, It might have been that Joe Mads artwork was just sick.  I didn't like that they made Thor talking an English broadway actor again, but it was a good story to me.  They gave Hawkeye one of the coolest costumes out there.

Nerd Hulk is green and dresses up in a suit (which gives him a Clark Kentish quality if you ask me especially since he has Banner's personality).
 
Maybe Jean "influences" him via telepathy.

how did hulk die in ultimate marvels? i thought him and walverine fought and hulk tore him apart and then betty was turned in to a she-hulk and they ran off together or something

No. The Ultimate line is dead. You can blame the Ultimatum storyline for destroying it.

Yes. This is the beginning of a relaunch of the entire line, so it's a new beginning for everyone.

Why do they keep giving Ultimate titles to Jeph Loeb? To think I used to get excited over nearly every Ultimate Whatever issue (except X-Men), right up to Ultimates 3. Seems like a lifetime ago, now.
