The first season of The Walking Dead may be over but we're not finished talking about it. Yesterday details were released on the Blu-ray and DVD set for the first season. One can only imagine what it must have been like to be on set with all those extras dressed as zombies. We had the opportunity to talk with Anthony Guajardo, "Miguel" from episode 1.04, "Vatos."

Comic Vine: What was it like being on the set?
Anthony Guajardo:
It was by far the BEST experience of my life! The actors were super cool and gave me so much to work off of! Then seeing the hoards of zombies just around  the corner made me feel like I was about to be a part of something huge!

CV: How many extras/zombies were around?
AG:
Well, there was about 15 to 20 vatos on set with me and about 15-25 zombies!

AG: I've read the first issue of The Walking Dead!

CV: With the success of The Walking Dead, have fans of the show recognized you?
AG:
Yeah, I keep my fans updated on Twitter about all the comic conventions I'm going to be appearing at.

CV: How many takes did it take to perfect your reaction to getting Merle's severed hand dropped in your lap?
AG:
It took about 5 times for me to get the reaction they were looking for!

CV: If you had any say in it, would you want your character to come back normal or as a zombie?
AG:
I would want to come back normal, kill some zombies and then get infected.

CV: Has being on the show helped prepare you for a zombie apocalypse?
AG: I'm actually the co-captain of the Zombie Survivor Crew with fellow Walking Dead actors, Norman Reedus and IronE Singelton! Check out this short video I made for the Zombie Survivor Crew:

CV: Nice. What's the most important thing to remember when dealing with zombies?
AG:
Aim for the head and always travel with a hot female!

CV: Do you have any other projects in the works?
AG:
Well I just shot a national campaign commercial with AAA and starred in a short film with Director Rod Guajardo (no relation). I have been training extensively through my agency and management company Calliope Talent with some of the leading filmmakers and casting directors. I also work for Calliope, so I am exposed to insight behind the scenes on a daily basis. Later this month I'm going to start a web show with some of my fellow actors and best friends! 2011 is going to be a great year!

CV: That sounds awesome. Thanks for taking the time to chat with us! Watch out for those roaming zombies.
