Well. I don't like TDK, Begins was pretty good. I just don't too much care for Nolan's Batman. I think Nolan is a pretty good director, he makes fine films. But he isn't the right man for the job to make a Batman film. Many people disagree with me, but whatever. I will reserve my final opinion for after I see it, but as i stated before, it doesn't look good. That trailer was horrible.

EPIC! JULY 20...a day that will go down in history!!!

Ive seen the entire pre opening credits scene introducing Bane &some other bits (which i see hasnt been cut but might be tweaked slightly) it was pretty ambitous &I have to say.. I had my doubts.. but after seeing this.. wow.. as ending trilogies go.. i see were gonna have a masterpiece on our hands...

Now, ANYONE dumb enough to compare Assemble to DKR should not only stop watchin CBM's (comicbookmovies) but should probly put down comics altogether.. Assemble is one of THE most entertaining movies ive EVER seen.. periiod!! But would I put it above TDK? Nope i wouldnt.. why? Because thatd be like comparing Star Wars to The GodFather.. which is pointless.. its the same with these franchises..comicdom they may be but there about as similar as apple pie &sushi

So while I urge all nervous excited but rational logical sensible TRUE comic fans to see Assemble (IMO The New Hope/Empire Strikes Back of CBM's) I also say dont forget to MAKE SURE u see DKR, what is sure to be the Godfather 2 of CBM's

I'm not sure what people want from a Batman story? do they really wanna see phony ass detective work which makes no sense at all?or Batman pulling out plot devices out of his ass.Nolan's movies are heavy on themes and plot and that's what I personally prefer.Substance over style any day.

all i can say is wow. it will never be The Dark Knight ( don't think any batman film in the next 30 years time will be)

but everytime i see oldman as gordon, i just think this is gonna be great. also far to much crap about " this not batman" or this is not true to the comics. the refuge of those who just want to complain. Nolan as made the Best Batman movies of this generation.( i did not say ever because it could happen down the line.) for better are wrose this is Batman to the world now and over all we fans should be happy.

Everybody keeps saying that Joseph Gordon Levitt is playing John Blake. Am I supposed to recognize the name from the comics? Who is John Blake? I consider myself to be somewhat knowlegable on Batman cannon and I've never heard the name before.

@TheWitchingHour: John Blake appeared in exactly three panels in one of the early Batman stories. An elementary schooler, Blake was convinced by the Joker to misbehave, only for the villain to laughingly point out the boy would be disciplined. I imagine the film's Blake will have personally suffered during the height of Joker's attacks during The Dark Knight. There's an article about John Blake either here or on ComicsAlliance.

I know that, in his solo run as Nightwing in his own series. But I don't think Chris Nolan would just place Dick in the movie as an adult, it doesn't seem like a logical move.

At least they re-dubbed Bane's voice so you can UNDERSTAND wtf he's SAYING..and yes, I'm excited for this movie :)

Looks like my wallet's going to take a beating this summer.
