Agree with most of these awards. I would have given the best script to the Avengers though. The only reason the Avengers ever worked as well as it did is all because of the script in my opinion.

One movie seemed to "rise" higher than it actually should have. Too much hype, not enough good action or story that made sense. And BOO for no Dredd wins!

This thread rather explicitly shows the maturity and inferiority complex of the Avengers fanboys.Avengers won most of the categories and they STILL complain,the comments on this article remind me of the troll fest that's comicbook movie.

I'm sorry, but there were too many plot holes in The Dark Knight Rises for me to even vote it for best script... The characters and story itself I found were well written, but there were just too many plot holes in it. Dredd was also good, but I know little about the character to start making assumptions about the film adaptation.

Damn, Avengers and Batman cleaned house.

Because DKR had actual dialogue as opposed to the continual sequences "boom, boom, punch, funny quip, boom, meaningful speech, boom" scenes that made up the entirety of Avengers.

Can't speak to Best Animated, as the only one on the list I have actually see was Justice League: Doom which was awesome.

Everything else, I more or less agree with or at least can see how/why they won, even if I didn't vote for one or two of them.

Yay! Amazing Spider-Man didn't win anything! I'm so happy. I hate that overrated piece of sh*t. It was just horrible.

There should of been a worst movie award. Then ASM could of won something.

I am very surprised that Dredd/Urban didn’t get any wins here. I know ticket sales were terrible in the US. Thanks, in no small part, to the ’95 atrocity, “Judge Dredd”. But for those who did see it; you have to agree that Urban was far more authentic to his character’s comic book persona than anyone else has, at least in 2012. I know RDJ won Best Actor in a Leading Role, but I feel that Tony Stark’s persona is drowned by Robert Downey Jr. just playing Rober Downey Jr. Carl Urban had to step outside himself a lot more to play Dredd, a role in which it is obvious that he did a lot research into the character. And that slow-mo shoot-out scene in the beginning was the best and craziest visual effects in a movie for 2012. Dredd was, IMO, by far the best comic book movie to be released last year.

Someone should write to them all to let them know.

Avengers wins most of the awards and the fanboys are still butthurt; what does that tell ya?

Dredd deserves some love. But I can't think of anyone more deserving of best Supporting Actor than Clark Gregg.
