The Best Stuff In Comics: 2-9-15

This is where we present to you, the other best stuff besides the best covers, best story arcs, and best pizza delivery vehicle.

This used to be a VIDEO FEATURE for over one hundred episodes. We've changed the format to a text version as most seem to prefer it this way. And don't forget to take the poll at the end.

Each week we take a look at the other Best Stuff you might have missed...this week.

HULK #11

Best Use of a 3-D Printer

You can do a lot of amazing things with a 3-D printer. Hulk, or I suppose we should say Doc Green, is set up in the Baxter Building since the Fantastic Four aren't using it. The problem is, a recent explosion has damaged certain things. One in particular is of importance to Doc Green. Like that one book says, everybody poops. So Doc Green decides to make a toilet suitable for his size.

AMERICAN VAMPIRE: SECOND CYCLE #6

Creepiest Elephant

In the AMERICAN VAMPIRE books, you're never too sure what to expect. There's a lot of freaky things that go on and appear from time to time. In the latest issue, a group of people have an elephant just sitting there. It doesn't look like your regular elephant. It's not something you'd want to see.

GREEN ARROW #39

Best Prison Break

Felicity Smoak got in a little bit of trouble. She got arrested but they didn't take her to just any ordinary prison. In a super-max prison, there's all sorts of other dangers. Of course Green Arrow is going to try to bust her out.

ANT-MAN #2

Best Escape Clause From A Villain

Many times a hero takes on the guise of a previously existing hero. There's something about the legacy of it all or simply it's just a matter of using a previously existing heroes costume or gadgets. The problem occurs when a villain has a grudge against that previously existing hero and mistakes them for the other hero. Good thing Scot Lang is quick to point out that the truth is just a click away on the Internet.

Best Short Circuit Reference

Have you ever seen the 1986 movie, Short Circuit? Apparently Scott Lang has. In the movie, there is a robot called Number 5. He comes to "life" and renames himself Johnny Five. When Scott was fighting a Nazi robot, he gives it his own name as well.

ACTION COMICS #39

Best Scene at a Cemetery

In the New 52, it's unfortunate that Clark Kent lost both his adoptive parents at a young age. We do get to see a touching and personal moment with Clark at his parents gravesite.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY & X-MEN: THE BLACK VORTEX ALPHA

Best Secret About Kitty Pryde and People Named Peter

Kitty Pryde has only dated a few people in her life. There's been Colossus, Pete Wisdom, and now Star-Lord. There's even Spider-Man if you include the Ultimate Universe version. What they all have in common is their first name. Illyana reveals a secret about Kitty that hopefully doesn't have too much to do with this big coincidence. Otherwise that'd be really weird.

I suppose some people could get really attached to a pet hamster.

RETURN OF THE LIVING DEADPOOL #1

Weirdest Things to Remember after a Zombie Apocalypse has Started

Thankfully I've never awoken in a strange place with no idea how I got there or what happened before. That happened to Deadpool. And now he's in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. We do get to find out what he does remember.

DETECTIVE COMICS #39

Best Snowy Rooftop Scene

Winter in Gotham City. You would think the snow and the slush would look kind of dreary. When Francis Manapul is drawing it, it's a different story.

Best Fight Surrounded by Creepy People in Masks

With the new version of Anarky running around, the citizens of Gotham have been given a chance to start their lives over as well as a mask to form a new identity. Obviously there's more than just that going on. Batman and Bullock are trying to get to the bottom of things when they find themselves surrounded by several masked individuals.

And of course, this scene looks really good too with Manapul's art.

HAWKEYE #21

Best Use of “Bro”

The Tracksuit Mafia is making their move against Hawkeye and the building he acquired from them. Despite the problems their causing to Clint and his friends, it's always great seeing them communicate with each other in their special way.

Best Poll of the Week

Last week the poll dealt with doing a duck-face pose when getting a picture taken. You can check out the rest of the results HERE.

This week, we thought we'd let you, once again, vote on your favorite Best Stuff item from this list.

(Note: if you get a "session expired" notice, refresh the page).

That's all I came up with this week. Let us know in the comments below what other Best Stuff you dug this past week. Thanks to @djfanco, @ploiken, @simonsezstuff, and @FearTheLiving. If you want to participate or felt we missed some other Best Stuff, you can @reply me on Twitter at @GManFromHeck by Fridays using the hashtag #BestStuffInComics and I'll think you're pretty groovy.

Let us know what you think of this format. Answer the poll question. Be sure to always look for the best stuff and try to make sure the place you're going to stay has a properly working and fitting toilet for any needs that may arise.
