'The Avengers' Superbowl TV Spot - Extended Cut

If you haven't seen this by now, you must watch it at this moment.

Yesterday Marvel/Disney unveiled their Superbowl TV spot for 'The Avengers.' They immediately made the clip available for us to post but also had an extended cut on their Facebook page. Most likely you've already seen this but if you have't check it out now.

I think everyone is now waiting for someone to break down the latest trailer to see if they missed anything like...were those guys the Guardsmen or Hydra soldiers or something else in the grey armor?

from this trailer it looks like its going to be iron man leading the Avengers.... ruins a lot of my excitement tbh Captain America is the undisputed leader for me and should be the leader in the movie......

I would have my doubts that a horde of dead asgardian warriors now have spaceships with lazer beams. Odin when he was fighting on Earth just went out with a straight army battle clash for supremacy, no ships. Plus from the image I took, albeit intentionally blurred they made it, they look green, have pointy ears and big jaws with purple hats. Looks like skrulls to me. Doesn't help that the cancelled video game had skrulls as the bad guys either.

Dude thay already confirmed it's not Skrulls and not Kree. If it does turn out to be Loki leading an army of Skrull's then this film is retarded

I say it's Frost Giants with Tesseract powered technology. Think about the 2 major clues from Captain America & Thor. Loki killed Laufey leaving the Frost Giants leaderless & with the king position open it's easy for him to make himself their de'facto leader & plus the Tesseract was assumed to be "destroyed" but if you watched the Thor post-credits scene you saw the doctor being manipulated by Loki. So my guess is MAYBE Loki stole the Tesseract & some S.H.I.E.L.D technology & armed his people with some upgraded weaponry. Because we all know he got captured by some S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

That part where one of the crafts runs into Hulk on a jump up makes me laugh, lol. I love the trailer though. Go 'vengers!

I thought the same thing at first. Then after watching it another 10 times (don't judge me :P) and you pause on the image, the "aliens" themselves look somewhat robotic. At least that's my take on it. Skrulls or Ultrons, I'll be happy with whatever it is.

I think the sons of muspell theory is the best so far. They look really similar and it would tie in well with Thor. I also think it would sidestep the kind of flack they'd get over mishandling Skrulls or Kree or something like that.

I have to admit, this is a awsome trailer, but I am still a little confused about the story, like why if loki is the villian are there robots? And another thing, wouldn't Ryan Gosling make a better Hawkeye the Jeremey Reener? Still. it was an awsome trailer. Also the things at 30 sconds might be trolls, ya know, like ULIKthe troll and stuff.
