'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' Synopsis Revealed

I can't wait! I loved the first film!

I hope this is as good as the first one.

Still not sure how I feel about them introducing the Goblin so soon....

This isn't a complaint against CV, but rather Sony: this synopsis tells us even less than the information we already know. Heck, it doesn't even cover the poster's content.

Hmm.. Looks like Rhino is gonna be some mechanical quadruped.. I am not impressed.. -_-

I give this movie 1/2 "meh" out of 4..

please expand on this universe if we dont get a marvel/sony co produced spidey film!!

I cannot wait to see this film, not sure why The Rhino looks like a zord though.

Looks more like a mech/vehicle, so if anything, it's probably loosely inspired by Rhino's ultimate version.

Anyone else thinking swapping the actors for Peter and Harry would suit their characters so much more?

How do you just not mention Goblin in the poster? Anyway, I've seen a clearer image of him, and it looks like it will be a mutation, like the Ultimate universe, but resembling the traditional look. I guess what I mean is, it looks like the traditional Goblin, but the face isn't a mask.

Looking forward to this movie.

I actually would have really liked to see the Ultimate look, but I suppose this is the better route to go, as I could see people being rightfully upset if we were now getting our second Green Goblin (third if we count Harry Osbourne goblin), and none of them resembled the original character.

I didn't like the first one that much and usually sequels of movies are worse so I am finding it hard to get excited over this.

I'm not sure what to think of the Rhino mech...but I like the Green Goblin's look. Still a bit apprehensive about having three main antagonists, though...

I am so glad they made the rhino look like he did. I think that stupid costume he wears in the costume makes him probably the dumbest looking rogue in his whole gallery (Yes even more then shocker). But I am not a fan of the twi hard looking goblin. I hope thats just a preliminary photo and they're at least going to add in a more CG look to him. Also it makes me dreadfully afraid thisll have the exact same problems as spider-man 3. Seems a tad overstuffed if you ask me. So I'm really afraid thisll be as bad as the first one.

I will go into this movie with more caution than any other comic book movie next year. I really enjoyed the reboot despite the unnecessary origin retelling and I hope this movie surpasses it now that it can move away from familiar ground. Even still, I am more worried than excited with a lot of what I have seen so far. Days of Future Past is a similar feeling but the excitement for that movie far outweighs my concerns. Cap and Days of Future Past are definitely my two most anticipated movies coming up.

I like!!!! Not sure about Rhino. He's... a robot? I'll have to see what he does in Spider-Man 2. I might like his version. Who knows. Loved the first Amazing Spider-Man movie! I've watched it probably more than 10 times already and never got tired of it.

We need some T&A somewhere.

Agreed. The first movie was a mess. It's always fun to see Spider-Man swing around and beat up baddies, but the plot was all over the place. Very poorly written and uninteresting to watch for me.

I wish them luck in their sequel, and I genuinely would love for this to do well as Spidey is and always has been my favorite superhero. But I won't support this series until it proves to me that it's earned it. And historically, throwing more bad guys on the screen is the quickest way to ruin a franchise, not build upon it.

The earlier Batman films, Spider-man 3, X-men 3, it's like these people have never seen a superhero film.

With 4 main characters (plus strong side characters) there's just no way there is going to be any character development. This poster just screams "BAD OMEN" to me.

I thought The Amazing Spider-man was alright, not great (but still better than Spider-man 3). I'm not looking forward to this one. If the "Green Goblin" (does he even have any green in the pic, hard to tell) in this one didn't have his glider, I wouldn't know who it was. He looks more like Morbius with his pale skin, tight clothing and fangs. Also don't care for Rhino. I'm fine with him being more mechanical, but having him being a quadruped seems a bit lame. Maybe if he was on two legs and sort of transformed and got on all fours to charge, that would work, but just looks awkward to me. Electro I don't mind and I love Jamie Foxx's work. I think the look of him is interesting and works.

I'm kind of half/half with the ASM reboot. I thought the story and movie were very enjoyable for the most part but I'm still not sold on Garfield as Peter/Spider-Man. And now with casting this new Harry Osborn, I continue my distain for their casting of important characters because that guy does NOT resemble Harry at all. Two very important casting calls and they totally botched it. I will say though I do like everyone else who was casted for the movie. I'm not overly excited for this movie. I'm just kind of … waiting for now. However, I will acknowledge when the trailer is released, I'll probably fanboy up temporarily.

I really enjoyed ASM 1. I feel Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone played wonderful roles! I am excited for part 2, but I am a little worried like most people. I think there might be an overflow of characters. I am actually glad they removed MJ because they wouldn't be able to develop such a critical character in the Spidey verse enough. I think there will be some difficulty developing Rhino, Electro, and the Goblin, all in one movie. The same mistake was made in the last trilogy. Maybe if Rhino and Electro are partners and Goblin is just introduced at the very end to set-up ASM 3 it could possibly work. Excited to see what happens!

I'm definitely seeing it, but it's hard to get excited when Sam Raimi's trilogy already took Spidey's best villains. I didn't feel like Lizard held up an entire film very well, and at this point everything Spider-Man related in comics is so much more interesting than what they could hope to put on screen.

That being said I'd be more interested if they had Kingpin hire Kraven to hunt Spidey or something.

As long as they don't bring Black Cat in to ruin her character, I'm cool.

One thing that disappointed me in the first trilogy was that as soon as they introduced Norman they made him the Goblin, this all seems too similar

But I'm still looking forward to watching the film. Electro looks good and I enjoyed the first film so i hope this squeals is equal to it or even better.

it was good honestly. also in regards to felecia hardy/black cat shouldnt she be more a college student not high school? i would love it if peter is no longer in highschool and maybe have the film take place 3 or 4 years after the first film

There was a leaked trailer that LQ trailer that showed the suit having 2 forms. A mech rhino from used in the poster where he is on all 4's and a standing up mode where he's on two legs. The head of the Rhino comes up to show Paul Giamatti's face.
