Warner Bros. releases digital comics based prequel comic by IDW Publishing.
There's no question that people are excited over seeing Terminator Salvation in theaters. We haven't had a Terminator movie in theaters since 2003. IDW has been putting out Terminator comics lately. With their Terminator Salvation, we get a prequel look at the events prior to the movie. It's a way to see what has happened since Judgement Day right up to the story in the movie. A digital graphic novel adaption is now available on the Apple App Store for $0.99 for each of the five episodes or $3.99 for the full collection. That's the same as the price of a single comic these days.
What sets this apart from other digital comics is it uses the Kamikaze: Le Edition engine. What's that? It's technology that allows comic book images to be scaled down without losing resolution. You can also flip through pages by shaking your wrist and zoom in and out by "pinching" the screen.
People always seem hesitant when it comes to the digital comics, but this is a good deal. I don't think anyone really thinks digital comics will replace printed comics any time soon but it's nice to check out the alternatives once in a while. Click the link above for the complete series. Or if you'd rather buy them individually, you can find issue #1 here, #2 here, etc. Each link will ask you to open iTunes on your computer.
