@redheadedatrocitus: Well I wouldn't count on it. This movie is starring "Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin" according to that poster. Interesting that Christopher Eccleston's name isn't on there.

Speculation among alot of fans was that Malekith would be the main villain, but Loki would have some roll as well. Kind of odd that Eccleston's name then gets left off the poster if he's the primary antagonist. Makes me wonder how much he'll be in it. Nothing again Loki, he's been a good villain, but we've seen him twice now and I was hoping to have him be more of a side role this time around, with alot of Malekith. Starting to doubt that's going to happen though.

I wanna see a poster now with Christopher Eccleston as Malekith!

They should have left a little space between 'and', and Anthony Hopkins, lol. It looks like it's his middle name.

Two things I want to see from this movie: Thor wearing the helmet, it was in one scene in the first movie and looked so badass..
And Thor saying "I say thee nay foul villain!"

really hope foster dies and sif picks up the pieces since there cant be a superhero movie without romance *eye roll*

Seconded. He's an integral part of Thor's supporting cast and Asgardian mythology. Not using him in the sequel would be a missed opportunity.

Been waiting for this Movie for awhile, a Poster was not going to change that. But it is decent.

My number 1 movie of the year. Can't freakin' wait.

I really liked the first and third act of Thor 1, you know, the stuff with the intergalactic, dimension jumping vikings. Back on boring old Earth, the thing that excited me the most was a particularly hilarious coffee shop scene, and Agent Coulsons return.

So I hope that they spice up the Earth stuff this time around. I'd like to see Thor and his girlfriend explore their relationship. One of the strongest beings in the universe with a fragile, nerdy science chick? There's some stories to be told.

In any case, colour me excited! It's gonna be a great way to end off the summer.

Yeah, I can see that this poster is screaming "photoshop!!". But overall, it looks good. I cannot wait to see the 2nd phase of Thor movie!

Exactly what I was thinking. No one was complaining about Batmans photoshopped poster. lol photoshop is used on nearly every poster nowadays.

@reignmaker: because it would cover most of his face. People need to realize that although its a comic book character, its also a hollywood movie. You kinda need to see the faces of star actors in their own posters. That would be my guess. I don't have too much of a problem with it.

Okay, I like Thor, but this poster is completely interchangeable with every other Thor poster that has come before it.
