Superman: Red Son Motion Comic

The 'Elseworlds' story is available for download.

DC is in the midst of another comic in their series of Motion Comics.  Some have been good (Batman: Black And White) and others have been okay (Watchmen).  Their current 'book' that you can get on iTunes is Superman: Red Son, written by Mark Millar and Dave Johnson.  You may have read the " Elseworlds" book already.  I have to admit, I have not.  For me, that could be a deciding factor in whether or not I get this myself.  So far, three 'episodes' are available.  They each average around six minutes and are only $0.99 each.  Or you can get the 'season pass' and pay $9.99 for the entire series.  That's probably cheaper than trying to buy the trade paperback.

If you're curious what it looks like, here's the trailer from Warner Brothers Online:

So what do you think?  I know people have mentioned in the past that they don't like the motion comics so much.  I'd imagine there must be people buying them for DC to continue making them (I believe they also have a Batgirl one coming next...or was it Supergirl?).  I agree that you can't replace the traditional comic book experience.  But I also like this digital format.  It's nice for something different.  Do you think this is worth paying ten bucks to have on your computer and iPod/iPhone?
