Submit Or Perish: The UNCANNY AVENGERS Enter AGE OF ULTRON

I couldn't get into Uncanny Avengers cause it's just too dark for me. I mean, Rogue is one of my favorites, but issue 3 was outright depressing.

Interesting idea but Uncanny Avengers has had such bad shipping I can't get into the series and unless it gets better I'm going to drop it.

Well that's certainly not the villain I expected for this series.

Lol I love that dark & gloomy depressing read that is Uncanny Avengers. I loved Wolverine's X-Force & Uncanny X-Force (Remenders' run). My question is who the hell are the Apocalypse Twins?

But I l love the Idea that Kang is in a possible alliance with Kang. I've always wonder what would happen if Kang, Thanos, Red Skull, Apocalypse & Dr. Doom teamed up. (Magneto would be on that team too but he'd kill Red Skull in a heartbeat). At least I'm getting a small fraction of that lol.

I'll get anything that's Uncanny Avengers, it's great. One question though; this is a different issue than UA 8 right? So in May there'll be UA 8 and UA 8AU?

Now that Cassidy is off the book it should be coming out on time.....

@Namor1987: Have you read the Acts of Vengeance Storyline with Dr.Doom and Red skull teaming up under Loki's recruiting (Apocalypse refused) along with Magneto, Kingpin, Mandarin, Wizard.

I believe the Apocalypse twins are the "The Dark Angel Saga" where Archangel had sex with Pestilence (one the four horsemen) and she got pregnant and escaped with Dark Beast...no mentioned afterwards about what happened, but Reminder did mention parts of the Dark Angel Saga coming to Uncanny Avengers....anything with Kang's involvement I have no idea.

Kang really? Why the hell is he here? I have no idea who the other two are.

Apocalypse twins? Did miss something?

I love how whenever Kang shows up, he is unstoppable and no avenger can lay a finger on him, but somehow by the end of the story, iron man is punching him in the face.

So... Anyone thinking of Evan?

No but I've always had the idea that given the chance Magneto would kill Red Skull upon seeing him.

That's more than likely exactly who they are. Pestilence did make love with Archangel & get pregnant with his offspring. I bet Dark Beast brainwashed or influenced & enhanced them to his own specifications & probably made a deal with Kang to let him use them in exchange for some tech.

I'm going with the AU being similar to Marvel .1.This way they can give a sample of what to expect in the Alternate Universe. Cant use their normal .1 because they are used for getting new readers caught up and with a Large Story Arc I dont see that working as well therefore the AU ( Age of Ultron)tag.

Kang is my favorite villain. So yeah, I'm excited for this.

As long as this 'big new romance' isn't Rogue and Havok. *gag*

I figured that out around the time of Uncanny X-Force's Dark Angel Saga last couple of issues.

I think I'm going to drop this book... Although I am interested in the inclusion of Wasp.

Is this the Kang that always shows up or is this Iron Lad turned Kang?

Now I'm conflicted. I was planning to read the Apocalypse twins arc, but also skip anything Age of Ultron. What to do, what to do...

@RalfvdH: Hopefully he'll play a part in all of this. But the Apocalypse twins are most likely Archangel's kids. I bet Kang goes into the future and brings older versions of them to the present day.

There will be a normal Uncanny Avengers 8. The Age of Ultron tie-ins do not impact the normal stories at all which is nice. The Avengers story will proceed normally from 7 to 8 to 9 and 8AU will be a stand alone story.

I wonder if they will be able to actually ship 8 issues before this tie in is supposed to ship with all these delays.

The Apocalypse twins look Japanese. Pestilence was a Japanese Geisha-looking Horseman of Apocalypse. I don't remember Archangel having sex with Pestilence, but it seems to add up.

I love the samurai influence of the Apocalypse twins. Obviously these 2 must be Arcangel and Pestilience children. Throw in Kang one of my fave villains of all time and I'm in.

I hope all this Kang Business brings back Statue and Ironlad.

I hope Cassady doesn't come back.(sorry i'm also a fan but couldn't dig his art here)

Also, am I the only one who loves that Remender tells a story without limits, that he uses years of story-lines and many titles to continue his story, that his finale in UXF wasn't really a definite finale?

Nice! Another adjunct to AU and it should be interesting. Not actively following AU when it comes out but I will definitely stay posted.

This, also it's quite sad that this title's getting thrown head-first into an inconsequential event when some its own stories haven't even been fully fleshed out yet, as well as the antagonists/protagonists.

The AU issue is stand-alone and won't impact the current ongoing arc. You can skip it.

Yeah, I love how remender does the whole multi title, long form storytelling thing too. And he does it in such a way that you can still enjoy each title without having to read absolutely everything. Smart guy.

Wish they would do this with most Cross-overs. Give the option of the titles that "Will" include important information, and continue the series stories. That way if somebody isn't interested in the Crossover they can still get a title w/o it being involved. Shoot I remember AvX titles that had themselves branded and except for an opening scene nothing else really pertained to it.

I decided against sticking with Uncanny Avengers but this does look interesting. I'm sure Remender's plans will be grand and rewarding in the long time, so I might collect this in trade.

Honestly? Uncanny Avengers so far has been very bleak. Especially with issue 3. They were flat out killing civilians and it came across that Remender was giddy about doing so with the descriptions. It just is a depressing book with very little optimism. It's the same par Secret Avengers and X-Force have been. It's pretty dark.

Not "Child raping dark", but pretty damn dark.
