Steel Fights Doomsday in January

I used to think Doomsday was awesome. I used to think a lot of things.

Why does DC hate Steel? I mean killing him off in the first issue of his new series. We all know he's gonna die in this fight.

so the most powerful man on earth died by this guy, and a regular human in a metal suit is supposed to have a chance?

Well, at least he put pants on.

I know lots of people are going to disagree with me, but it's time to retire Doomsday. There is nothing of substance he can do. He began an era by killing Superman, but he can't really go from there. What's he going to do? Kill a few B-list heros? Rampage a bit? You can't really give him character development, and no matter what he does it will be inferior to when he killed the Man of Steel. 
 
Let Doomsday fade away into limbo.

I'm more excited about when Doomsday crashes through Outsiders in February. My favorite superhero team Vs. the monster who killed Superman? And Eradicator is on that team? It's gonna be awesome.

Ummm, what's the point of trying to take on Doomsday alone when he can just sqeeze onto Steel until he pops out of his armor in bloody, fleshy goo.

<yawn> If anything happens besides Doomsday peeling Steel like a banana, it will cheapen the death of Superman...more than Superman coming back from said death, and more than him being killed by some new, never-heard-of monster, instead of an established villain.  I do not see how this could possibly be an interesting story.
