Some Batman Covers For December

How do these make you feel?

What's in store for Batman this December?  DC has unveiled three covers including Batman 80-Page Giant by Andy Kubert, Batman#694 from writer/artist Tony Daniel  and Detective Comics #860 by J.H. Williams.

What do you think?  Which one do you like best?  What makes a really nice cover in your opinion?  Is it strictly the art?  The characters involved?  What is happening on the cover?  Does it bother you if the cover is just a random pose of the character and not really related to the actual story?

Very nice (Especially the Kubert one) but none of them are really teasing much.

Great stuff. Williams' Batwomens hand look kinda dwarfish compared to her head.....

I like the first one. Good detail, nice angle selected, and a very interesting city scape drawn. Only complain are those stubby little ears on the cowl.

Cool.

I like the first one the best...
I HATE when the cover has nothing to do w/ the actual story...variants should be used for that.

What the heck happened to Batwoman's hands?

The proportions don't look right on Batwoman's hands. They're to small compared to her head.

I think that it's onyx. She is the leader of a gang that fights against the black mask.

Overall, both Batman covers are excellent and get me excited. ^_^

LOVE the Kubert piece.  The Daniel piece is nice, albeit a little cliched...but the white background just doesn't do it for me.  The Williams piece is cool, too.

Personally, the Kubert piece is the best cover of them all.  What makes a good cover?  Good art, good scene being played out, good emotion in the character, but you really do have to put the overlay onto the art to get a sense of whether it's a good cover or not.

I like the second one, not particularly crazy about how the cowl/cape looks but specifically I like Dick's face and expression. At least he isn't smiling?...8|

I like the first one looks like a classic batman stand.

I like the first one my only complain is minimal... The ears could've been a lil more pronounced..

The first is classic Batman done really well. I got a little excited about the 2nd one at first cause I thought it was Damian and they were killing off the character (a guy can dream can't he), and the third one looks just wrong unless the issue has Batwoman get zapped with a giant-head ray or something.

I feel all Batman covers are really similar

It be a trio of awesome if it wasn't for the Tony Daniel horse%#$@ he calls "art".
