@cameron83: the joke was calling Trinity war and Forever evil, Civil war and Dark reign. as anyone who doesnt know the intimate details about the stories mite think they were the same ideas for different companies.

Ah,okay thanks!

I am very clueless lol

wow great observation

@nahuel: That's because David Finch draws all males alike and all females alike... he seriously looks like Cyclops on his ultimate x-men run... who looked like Xavier.

Supervillainy is about to reign supreme! This makes me more interested on how the Trinity War will end

Maybe I havent been enough attention here.. Can anyone please tell me why batman is on the cover..? Is that owlman or something? Has it been announced yet or..?

Finch said it was Batman in an interview last week.

@matteopg: Same as Jim Lee then, what means a lot of people must love this guy's art.

I'm just gonna put this out there, Black Mantas design sucks, it just looks so ridiculous. Why couldn't they have used something more like the Young Justice design after the New 52, I'm sure that even die hard fanboys would have been able to accept that... And so ends the rant...

I have always thought Black Manta is a ridiculous character that I have never understood how he has been taken seriously as a villain.

Forever Evil looks okay, I do not know if I will pick it up and I just do not know what happened to Finch. His art was so good when he was at Marvel his Moon Knight was amazing but his DC work has just been okay by his standards.

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO IS SICK OF GEOFF JOHNS WRITING EVERY GOTDAMN THING IN DC?!?!?!?

Wait is that Deathstorm in the last page? WTF? And I'm really not a fan of Finch's artwork. Ironic though that Superman's greatest villain might end up being the hero of the piece if the rumours are true that he's opposing the Society. Also I wonder how the Crime Syndicate will fit into this. Maybe Pandora's Box switches places with them on Earth 3?

Indeed. Also, the Rogues will also oppose the new reign of the villains...

And that's EXACTLY what I thought. Of course they are not dead, but that will give the world reason to believe so. Which is why the Crime Syndicate will end up on Main earth and perhaps they end up on their earth....

Has it been confirmed that Lex will oppose the Society? I've looked on most sources but can't find an official confirmation.

Black Adam is said to oppose what the society is doing and that would fit it with why most of the other characters on the cover are their as they are all not necessarily evil. With Catwoman being on the JLA, Batman being present, Sinestro having stopped his campaign against the Guardians. Luthor may just be gathering a team to oppose the Society, which could be a reason as to why he released Bizarro early.

I like that theory. It's a definite possibility.

Deathstorm (Firestorm, looks a bit like the Blackest Night version)

It is the Blackest Night version. in Brightest Day he returns and separates himself from Jason and Ronnie and takes the name Deathstorm.

For a second I thought the Firestorm Esque character was Helspont

im surprised some people don't like finches artwork ,i think he draws very dynamic ...i cant wait for this

looks nice

Posted by mcbean

Not a big fan of vibe

Posted by jwalser3

Looks okay.

Posted by Jonny_Anonymous

I find it ironic that even on a villains only book they still manage to get Batman in there,

Anyway I always liked badguy vs badguy, much more interesting than hero vs hero

Hate that Finch is on art but it looks interesting

Posted by azazel66

What is batman doing on the cover???

Posted by braynehurricane

@mangakid1995: Ivan Reis' New-52 design for Black Manta was incredible. He took a pretty lame design and made it truly menacing. David Finch just totally screwed it up, especially those freaking eyes.

Posted by LyraFay

Why is Catwoman on the cover?! She's really not evil or hasn't been ever?!

Posted by Nightwing4

Finally Nightwing gets to interact with people outside Gotham and Chicago! Yayyyyyyy. It's only been 2 years of isolation.

I hope so. That would be epic. Although I don't know if that's in continuity, but it probably

is and it would be pretty awesome....

@sasquatch888: the drawing is pretty awesime, but i dont like the muscle Jason has . i prefer my version of Jason to thin, but no too thin.

could this mean the nightwing finally might get to play with the big boys?

Edited by Samuel_Simmons

@dondave @evanthemexijew

I think you guys have the story right and didn't think about Dick being Batman, but that's probably what the cover is. But I'm not sure if Earth 3 is really involved exactly, maybe earth prime versions of those characters, I mean we didn't get an explanation for the outsider being in Earth prime, and owlman has already been done and he wasn't from earth 3.

Posted by darknightspideyfanboy

@samuel_simmons: my guess is that during darksied multiverse invasion looking for his daughter he was able to destroy earth-3 those that survive manage to end up in earth prime but that just my theory

Posted by Antonio_Blackheart

I love the art

Posted by soumya

So Nightwing's finger stripes are gone now..O_o

Posted by FireThunder

probably batman on the cover is owlman dressed like bats.

Edited by Miss_Garrick

The artwork isn't too bad, but the inking is overdone.

Also,

Luthor seems to have a goiter in the 4th panel.

My curiosity isn't peaked.

Posted by soumya

Ok..It's just a theory which is may be the Batman we see in the cover is not Batman at all.Because Jane Doe's inclusion in Detective comics annual shown that she is now able to mimic Batman..and of course there is clayface.

Posted by DarklyDreamingDeadpool

i'm so exited about this, give more of the rogues! i love captain cold and heat-wave.

David Finch has already said that Batman survives the Trinity War and will be present during Forever Evil

Posted by EvanTheMexiJew

@samuel_simmons: The woman on page on page 3 looks a lot like Superwoman, if I do say so myself.

Posted by Sharkey

Awwwwww yeah the Rogues are back in action!

I too am intrigued by how Mirror Master escaped his Mirror World, guess that's something we will find out in the Rogues Villain's Month issue or the Rogues Rebellion mini-series (hopefully!).

My guess is that it could be Owlman in disguise. The Crime Syndicate are supposed to be in this event. And Forever Evil is just basically a flip on Civil War or AvX really. Though it does make more sense for villains to fight each other than heroes really.

Posted by SuperJedi17

Not interested in the event,no matter how much of a focus it has on dick,if anything...the way it looks like the bird symbol is being incorporated into nightwings suit is cool, but no ginger stripes so 2 steps forward....

When was the Crime Syndicate or Deathstorm confirmed? Where or when did this get announced or just speculation?

@cameron83 said:

Crime Syndicate of America (according to bleedingcool)

Ultraman

Superwoman

Owlman

The Grid (counter Cyborg)

Johnny Quick

Power Ring (presumably via Volthroom)

Deathstorm (Firestorm, looks a bit like the Blackest Night version)

Atomique

Sea King

Ultraman,Superwoman,Owlman, and (probably) Power ring,at the very least, seem to be in their pre-new 52 costumes

I cannot wait for this series to launch. People love their villains and the direction DC is moving as a company keeps me wanting more and more

Posted by DEGRAAF

I will like this as long as Nightwing doesnt die

Posted by mightyrearranger

At first I was all "Oh wow, Deadshot hanging with The Rogues!". Then I realized it was Scudder lol.

Unless he's still trapped and that's either Evan or a brand new Master...

Edited by nappystr8

I didn't think this concept seemed too exciting, but this preview really looks good. I probably still won't pick it up, but I might look and see how adding it would affect my budget. If only Marvel took the time like DC to actually cultivate compelling stories for their events.
