Check out the extended trailer for the upcoming 2-hour special!
Normally, I don't get very excited about Smallville episodes, but I am really geared up for this special two-hour long event that will air next Friday, February 5th on the CW. We had previously posted a few brief commercials released by Warner Brothers, one which aired in Canada and the other in the States. This morning, a 30-second long edition hit the interweb. I have to say, it is not very often that a commercial for a television show has me on the edge of my seat. While we may not necessarily get any new information in what to expect in the upcoming episode, the clip does manage to set a tone for the show that is unlike what we saw in the previous clips we posted. Clark's discovery of the Justice Society's meeting hall is rather compelling. This one definitely did that for me. I feel like Geoff Johns' skills as a comic book writer might just translate well onto the small screen with Smallville: Absolute Justice! What do you think? Check it out for yourself below!
On another note, is it me, or do you guys get a very 'Watchmen' feel from this brief promo? It reminded me a lot of the opening credits to the Watchmen movie. There is definitely a moment of reflection and reminiscing the past, at least in my opinion. Of course the tone of 'The Watchmen' is far more serious and morbid, but the way the characters reflect on "the good old days" is rather similar. Feel free to disagree! I linked the intro to 'The Watchmen' above so you can judge for yourselves.
