Check it out. Aint-it-cool news has a ten page preview for SKAAR. I'll admit, I'm a little skeptical. You can't say it's not a great creative team on this. My question is, is this really necessary? Do we really need a "Son of Hulk"?
You could question the...originality of a character that is basically just a copy of another. It's enough that we have Hulk, She-Hulk and Red Hulk. Now we get Hulk Jr. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy She-Hulk's character and am enjoying the Red Hulk series. But what's Jr. gonna do? You know eventually he'll make his way to Earth and blame daddy for not taking him to a ballgame or something. It's his fault that he had to grow up on a crazy barbaric planet, right? Who cares that Hulk wasn't aware that he was alive. Maybe I'm just bitter because this smells a little like Daken, Wolverine's son.
Another question, how did he grow up so fast? Part of his biological make-up? Is this set in the "future"? Guess we haven't seen that before.
Of course I'll pick it up. Like I said, it has a great creative team. Greg Pak has done wonders since he started writing Hulk. Perhaps he can bring his magic along here.
