Last week, Disney's first animated Marvel project, Big Hero 6, opened in the United States and we here are Comic Vine really, really enjoyed the movie. We gave it a 5-star review and a whole lot of love. Now, if you still haven't seen the movie or just feel like seeing it again (which is totally understandable), we're here to tell you why it's worth buying a ticket to watch Big Hero 6 this weekend. Don't worry, we're not going to drop any spoilers.

It'll make you smile

As expected, Big Hero 6 is packed with heart and charm. There's plenty of heavy material -- we'll get to that in a moment -- but it manages to fill you with joy and make you smile; something that's obviously critical for an animated movie geared towards viewers of any age. There's plenty of gags that'll make you burst into laughter as each character clearly brings a distinct personality to the picture. If the movie isn't tugging at your heartstrings or astonishing your eyes, it's pretty safe to say it's doing something that'll make you happy. And there's nothing wrong with having a little more happiness in our lives, is there?

A story that'll make you cry

Some of the story's twists may be pretty predictable, but the handling of the emotionally-driven scenes is brilliant and they're incredibly powerful. Big Hero 6 doesn't shy away from the topic of death and how it can impact a loved one. It teaches the importance of accepting a loss and finding the positives as you move forward instead of being consumed by the depression and anger. This may be a movie that's aiming to win over very young kids, but it has a shockingly compelling story. Really, it's okay to admit you cried or at least began to tear up a bit during Big Hero 6. I sure did.

Beautiful visuals

The animation in Big Hero 6 is stunning. The character work is perfect for the heartwarming tone and they all look terrific, but the effort the animators put into bringing these locations to life is nothing short of breathtaking. San Fransokyo is gorgeous and full of energy. The vibrant city is heavily populated yet doesn't feel overcrowded, the sky is jaw-dropping, and the city just feels alive. No matter where the setting may be -- whether it's a child's room or the city's streets -- it's presented with an impressive amount of detail. There's one setting that'll really amaze your eyes, but we won't spoil it. It's a beautiful movie and undoubtedly needs to be experienced in a theater.

You'll fall in love with Baymax

We'll all have our favorite Big Hero 6 characters, but it's pretty difficult to imagine someone not completely loving Baymax. Everything from the character's adorable design to its sweet, innocent and clumsy nature will make you want to see more and more of the robot. Its desire to learn and help Hiro Hamada keeps the scenes either hysterical or emotional. Either way, it's pulling a big response from you. And what happens later on in the movie? Well, you're just going to have to see it to understand why we adore this robot. There's a lot to love about Big Hero 6, but Baymax really won us over.

It's really tough to talk about this one without blatantly spoiling it, so we'll just say trust us on this one, okay? At first, you may think the iconic writer only has an amusing cameo, but then it transforms into something truly special. You know the big rule with Marvel Studios' movies, right? This may not be a Marvel Studios project, but the same rule applies. Let's just say good things come to those who wait.

The future of Disney's Marvel animated movies

Disney's first animated Marvel movie lived up to our expectations and was such a delight. Not only were a majority of the reviews positive, but it was also able to take the number one spot during its opening weekend (Christopher Nolan's Interstellar came in second). You'll probably walk out of the theater hoping they move forward with a sequel, but you may also think about what other Marvel teams and/or characters Disney will want to use next. Power Pack? New Warriors? Young Avengers? Runaways? Great Lake Avengers?! There's so much potential and it's exciting to think that we may begin to see more and more of these fun movies.
