During the Warner Bros presentation today, the list of upcoming DC Entertainment films was shown to the audience and the name of the next Green Lantern film was revealed: Green Lantern Corps. While fans were aware they'd be seeing Green Lantern hit the big screen again, there was question as to whether it would be a solo film, again, or made to focus around the team aspect of the Corps.
There's been quite a few rumors about this film, like Tyrese Gibson going out for the role of John Stewart and Chris Pine playing Hal Jordan. Neither of those have been confirmed, but what is interesting is that Warner Bros will be taking the "team" approach to the next Green Lantern film instead of going the solo route, as they did with the Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern film a few years back. Looks like fans will get the space cop movie they've been waiting for, which is much truer to the concept of Green Lantern, as a whole.
Aside from the title, we also know that the film is expected to hit theaters in 2020. We'll keep you updated as more develops.
