from the outside this seems like a stupid and obvious idea, but Jason Aaron is writing it so I imagine this will rock, and rock hard.

Wouldn't it be funny if Jean Grey came back and took Wolverines side. 

Please for the love of god have Logan end Cyke for awhile. Xforce is awesome and the rest of the current xteams  have been sub par in comparision.

I rather hope Cyclops blasts the face off that pointlessly over-hyped character that is Wolverine. I am sick of him appearing in everything, being the reason for everything and involved in everything. Honestly, did the new Avengers have to pour their abilites into F*&%ing Wolverine of all characters when Doctor Voodoo, Strange and Hellstorm were all there? Does he need to be in the Avengers, the X-Men, X-Force and everything else? I honestly hate the character and think that Cyclops has gone from strength to strength in his characterisation and ability since Morrison's New X-Men cast him in a positive light away from the "I AM SCOTT SUMMERS INEFFECTUAL LEADER AND BY THE BOOKS MAN. LOOK AT MY EYES I MISS MY WIFE" He's a proper character now.

I can't believe people are saying Cyclops is an ineffectual leader. He pretty much protected and united all of mutant kind with Utopia. Wolverine would never be able to achieve that. Also, I want Shadowcat as leader of the X-Men.

I honestly don't care, this just feels like a crappy "Fear Itself" style event that pretty much just needs to be over fast.

I've read both Preludes so far, and I kind of like the story direction. Seems more like a classic X-Men piece than a modern.
As for Wolverine and Cyclops having any kind of cognitive dissonance over the issue...that seems kind of silly but I'm sweeping
that notion under the rug.
For them fighting, I've seen this character vs character cover too many times over the past few years, and seen it never pan out 99%
of those times, so I won't get myself hyped for it (though FYI, and I like Logan, Cyclops has dropped him in nearly every match they have
ever had on panel, just saying).

Wolverine is amazing, fighting Cyclops while also doing his thing in the Age of Apocalypse, and aiding the Avengers.  ...and women say that men can't multi-task!

I like to think of Cyclops as like, president/prime minister of this new world for mutants. He provides a necessary role as leader, but no-one particularly likes him. You can either be a hero or be the guy who saves the world, and they aren't always the same guy.

I don't really know about the physical fights between Cyclops and Wolverine, isn't it always a one-sided fight between the two since Cyclops is the tactical fighter and Wolverine is the tactical killer. It has never been to the point that they wanted to kill each other, which may be the reason why Cyclops has supposedly beaten Wolverine in the past. I like Cyclops (despite being a general asshole) and Wolverine (despite being in every other marvel comic book team right now). Despite that picture, I doubt there would be a fight to the point that they're gushing blood like Cyke is right now.

Wow lots of Cyke haters on ComicVine and lot of these reason you guys are posting as he's an ineffective leader is utter BS. Cyclops has been the best leader for the X-Men and Mutantkind in general, he always thinking several moves ahead of his enemies and has shown that he willing to make the tough decision even if their sometimes unpopular.

Wolverine is certainly not someone you want representing your entire species especially since he prone to murder and has a laundry list of enemies plus he couldn't think of half the stuff Scott does, Wolverine's idea of good plan is too pop the claws and see what happens.

He the reason why Wolverine and the X-Mwn got cancelled after 1 season =P
