Schick Wants You to X-Cept the X-Men Challenge

Do you have what it takes? In other words, do you have any facial hair that needs shaving?

Schick and the X-Men are challenging men to "chart different, bolder paths." As the X-Men are ready to take their own path and take on any challenge, now you can do the same with your grooming routine. Partnering with X-Men: Days of Future Past, Schick has unleashed the "Schick Hyrdo Challenge."

By taking the challenge, you can unlock unique X-Men content and win prizes, all while "experiencing an amazing shave, or your money back."

Basically, you have to try a Schick Hydro razor. If you don't prefer it to your current razor, you can get your money back. If you accept the challenge, you can receive a free exclusive X-Men t-shirt with the purchase of any two X-Men branded Schick products.

There is also the X-Men Challenge on Facebook and XMENChallenge.Schick.com which features a bunch of trivia and you can can compete against the clock or friends. For each game played, fans will be entered into a sweepstake to win various weekly prizes including Days of Future Past merchandise and a HD flat screen TVs. One player will win an ultimate grand prize pack of X-Men swag worth over $1800.

As for me, I took the challenge as well. I received the following package:

What did I think? How many times did I cut myself shaving? You can actually find out tomorrow in a Premium Video for Comic Vine subscribers. Yes, I will be shaving on camera and you'll be able to see the t-shirt better. Here's a spoiler, the razor is really nice.

I'll stick with my MOS gilette razor that's a year old, it might be dull and rusty, but it's still my favorite...

seems interesting. I might do this, but I was planning to grow my facial till next semester of school starts. If that's quicksilver with the weird colored hair and shiny jacket, I though that was a girl because at first glance I thought it was until staring at it for a few minutes and the facial shaving part didn't make sense if it was. Warpath needs to bulk up. I prefer the Warpath look in X-Force.

Off topic: They look kinda stoopid in that pic. Warpath? Dude looks like he could barely go to war with a wet paper bag. And Mags and X look like they about to keel over. Got the nerve to be wearing some 2014 superhero duds looking like 1914.

I thought I had a tough job, but my boss has never asked me to shave and maybe bleed on the internet. I think you deserve a raise. Lol.

Are they only putting this promotion and branding on their male products, even though their website shows that they make female products?

That's not so cool.

Nope. It doesn't seem fair to me that they would exclude a large group of people from their competition, even though they make products for that group. I'd've thought including as many people as possible would be good for business, and it's not like the X-Men only has male fans.

@v_scarlotte_rose: Not sure about their branding or focus of only this style of razor but the facebook/trivia contest is open to anyone. No purchase required and all that.
