Scarlet Witch and Hope Summers Grace Cover of AVENGERS Vs. X-MEN #0

Hope was born after Disassembled right? I guess yeah cuz there were no mutants for a while, then she was the first. I guess they all kinda just forgot that Layla Miller from X-Factor has a connection to Wanda as well. Hope, Layla and Wanda's twins Speed and Wiccan should meet up.

Huh, this is actually rather interesting. Maybe this whole X-Men vs. Avengers won't be complete bunk.

I would much prefer Hope have a connection to Wanda rather than having ANYTHING to do with Jean.

I'm seriously worried about what they're gonna do to Hope during this storyline...

As long as I see Iron Man take on Magneto in Avengers vs. X-Men I'll be happy.

This event really seems like the conclusion to storylines that started all the way back in Avengers: Disassembled, both in the Avengers books, and X-men books. How could any fan really turn this up, and not buy it? Can't wait. This Spring/Summer is going to be a great time to be a comic fan.

Im really excited to know of their connection. I LOVE me some SCARLET WITCH and im so glad to finally see her back in the limelight.

I'd still rather see JEAN back though...Hope's interesting enough I guess, but I still dont particularly care for her.

I like the art. I still am more toward the side of not reading this book though and staying far away from Marvel events. They've just let me down one too many times in the past two years. That's still a maybe mind you. I'll pay attention to what people here are saying after issue one and make a choice, thankful for having you all in this regard in addition to the usual things you inspire for me.

I didn't think of that before. If this were to be true it could be that she appeared the same way that Wiccan and Speed were created. I think you answered my question i guess a good example is that Emma Frost was able to use Iceman's abilities to their full extent even though he is not so im curious is Hope could take Wanda's powers and heighten them to the point to bring back all the mutants powers again even though Wanda is unable too.

As for you and jcbart, here are Sinister's theories on how she came to be;

as well as his theories on how her creation could have come about;

I think the positive genetic test is him testing her DNA to Jean's and Scott's but i know a lot of people are against me on that. But from what i read out of this scan she is a positive genetic descendant of 616 Nathan Summers (Cable)

@DEGRAAF: The Phoenix pretty much left the Cuckoos to regroup with its other fragments. Hope might just have (or be) another piece/fragment of the Phoenix, that might be why "It's Coming"...

Actually i think Scarlet Witch is the most powerfull mutant in the 616 universe and is only surpassed by Legion and Franklin Richards. All three are capable of altering timelines/dimensions.

Scarlet Witch can wish the powers away from a whole race and turn the 616 universe into the house of M. Jean is a very powerfull telepath and telekinetic but not the most powerfull (prof X beats her in telepathy), only thing she seems great at is coming back from the dead and that is for the most part due to the Phoenix Force.

I love Jean (i hope she will return soon, and i look forward to the AoA series) and she has some powers but i wouldn't put her above Cyclops or Havok or any other (regular) omega mutant.

Hope seems to be able to generate powers when she needs them. TK when she fought back against Bishop and didn't she have Scott's eye beams and generate a Phoenix style raptor when taking down Bastion? What if she isn't a regular mutant and is the living, physical representation of all the powers and pstches of the mutants who inhabited the House of M universe? She might well be connected to Wanda in the sense that she is an a anomaly on a universe wide reality scale? Maybe it's a little too far fetched but I wouldn't rule it out considering this is a Marvel event imvolving the Summers/Grey bloodlines, Wanda and the Phoenix...

According to Avengers: Children's Crusade Scarlet Witch can't actually do that under her own powers and abilities, she was amped up by the lifeforce. She can give and take powers one mutant at a time but not all at once again without help.

Cyclops is an Omega level mutant?

What about Molecule man? I figured he was more powerful then Scarlet witch or is he still dead from fighting the Sentry?

She seems to only be able to take on the powers of mutants around her. She was near Cable when she stopped the bullet with TK, she was near the X-men (including Cyclops) when she took on the powers of multiple mutants, She touched Rogue, Colossus, Pixie, and Nightcrawler when she took on all of their abilities, She only took on the abilities of the mutants around her when she tried facing off against Juggernaut the Worthy.

I used to think that she was the culmination of all the powers lost during House of M but i believe that was done through another character. Im curious if she will eventually be able to spread her reach of mimicking mutants to across the globe or across the universe.

First, Cyclops and Havok is not even omega mutants.(Or did you mean cyclops and Havok, and the omega mutants?) And even normal Jean Grey prior to Phoenix Endsong was more than capable of dealing with those two Summer brothers. I mean she is the most powerful telepath on Earth and is only limited to her imagination.(She might be weaker than Professor X in the past, but now with her great experiences I think Jean is more powerful and skillful than him.)

And Second, I don't remember when Professor X was beating down Jean. If you meant during the Dark Phoenix Saga, Jean was helping Xavier in order to beat the Phoenix Force; without her help, Xavier cannot win against Phoenix. If it is normal Jean vs Xavier, I will still give it to Jean. I think Jean's telepathy is enough to hold him back until she uses her telekinesis to knock over Professor X.

About Scarlet Witch and Legion, I cannot be sure because there are not many solid feats for Jean as White Phoenix yet. But even then, she has an amazing incident where she cut off the future timeline from the Earth-616 and repaired it as if she was a true guardian of the universe.(I know there are a lot of debates going on about this feat, but I believe she actually did manipulated the Earth-616.) I will say Jean as White Phoenix, she is equal or more powerful than Scarlet witch, and obviously more powerful than Legion and Frankly Richard.

Also if you point out that Jean needs Phoenix Force to be in the level of HoM Wanda and Legion, I will also point out that Wanda did not perform alone during HoM. She needed lifeforce to do a such thing.
