Rosario Dawson Joins the Cast of Daredevil

I'm a little pissed that there making a Daredevil show. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PUNISHER!

Daredevil show before a Punisher show. I quit.

I'm hoping they get an actual Greek actress to play Elektra. I'll never be able to picture Rosario as Elektra. I think Kiristen McDuffie makes a lot of sense. I assume Marvel's plans to keep these netflix series going after the first seasons and probably even expand with new shows about other characters (Moon Knight, Punisher, Blade, you name it) Using that line of logic, Marvel might stay away from introducing any of Daredevil's other "Super BUDDIES" (White Tiger, Echo, ect). until they have a chance for Matt, Luke, Danny, and Jessica to meet first since THOSE are the people he'll be teaming with for DEFENDERS. This way the supporting cast for Daredevil can features friends like Foggy, Ben Urich, Karen Page, Alex Kurtz and Kiristen McDuffie. Ideally for me, the Daredevil series will focus on one giant overall arc with the Kingpin as the Big Bad. Each episode dealing with the Kingpin's grip on NYC/Hell's Kitchen's underworld and expanding his empire against rivals such as The Owl, Boss Morgan, Alexander Bont & Jigsaw. Kingpin is also going to need certain hitman/thugs/assassins to complish his goals since he cant get his own hands dirty all the time. This opens the door for an Elektra episode and other characters like The Enforcers Montana, Fancy Dan, Ox, Mountain Man Marko, Bullseye, Purple Man, The Rose, Mr. Fear, Gladiator, The Matador, Tombstone, Parker Robbins, Bengal, The MIGHTY Leap-Frog, ect....

The Ninja element is also huge to Daredevil's mythos but I'd save the for season 2

Hands down the best post in this thread. A woman gets cast in a role and the only thing people see fit to comment on is her appearance.

I, personally, am hoping to see her as Angela del Toro (who I wish would come back in the comics).

Watch the movie Kids you rookies. One of her first roles and she killed her role.

And horse teeth? A horse should kick you in your teeth just for saying that., you insecure little man.

It wouldn't be a smart idea to try and ignore the legal aspect of Daredevil. They need to have some good actors on that front or the show will fail.

Why does everyone assume she'll be a hero. I think it would be better if she isn't. All solo hero's need a strong supporting cast to better enrich their environment more then they need another hero popping in. Something comic media tends to forget. Anyway I think she'd be better suited as a non hero/villain. Maybe the district attorney to Matt's defense attorney/

the actress is part native american so she might be echo, but i'd rather have her as elektra or typhoid mary….

I'm going to say Misty Knight. Knight has a connection to each of the leads in the Netflix project. She could be the go-between connection like Coulson or Fury, which would make it a small but critical role. Also might be why they are being coy about it.

Honestly though I don't know why they bother EVER being secretive about the roles

@farkam: he obviously doesnt like the dark meat and needs eye surgery along with good brain cleansing. im gay and i even i cant deny the beauty of ms. dawson. i hope she plays someone with a meaty role and not just some love interest like karen or milla. echo or elektra would be amazing. i said i didnt see myself watching daredevil unless elektra was in it so lets see just see who she will be

Jesus, this might be the most sexist thread I have read in ages. And it's not even on youtube or yahoo news. Come on guys, we need to be better than this. Rosario Dawson is a great actress, who has proven herself many times. She also happens to be far higher profile than anyone cast on DD thus far, which is a huge coup for Marvel.

My first thought was Kristen McDuffie. It could very well be that they don't want to spoil who her character is yet, which would point to her being Elektra. But honestly, the fact that they didn't give a name makes it a whole lot more likely that she just happens to be an original character. That's been very common in the Marvel screen-verse thus far.

Basically the only woman she can't be is Karen Page, who is so long dead (or at least feels that way) that she may never appear anyway.

Also, she's very hot.

I immediately thought of Maya Lopez, followed by Elektra. Regardless, I'm super super excited for this.

My first thought was actually Karen Page, but maybe that character is already cast.

Now I have reason to watch this :)

She's hot, and a good actress. Can't wait to watch it.

Not a huge fan of her acting...but phew, she's good looking. Can't wait to see who she plays. And I always love a woman who embraces nerdy/fun roles, Clerks, Sin City,Death Proof, now this!
