Robert Liefeld Comments on the X-Force Movie Script

The artist/writer says Deadpool and Cable fans will be thrilled.

It's clear Fox has huge plans for their Marvel properties and is hoping to compete with Marvel Studios and WB. They've reeled in Mark Millar to serve as a consultant and they're even tackling the classic story, Days of Future Past, in their next X-Men film. We also know they're looking to go beyond just the basic X-Men and Fantastic Four characters, though. It was previously announced Kick-Ass 2 director/writer Jeff Wadlow will eventually bring X-Force to the big screen. Today, Robert Liefeld said on Twitter he was able to check out Wadlow's script and, as expected, he was positive about it. But his praise is worth bringing up because he dropped a couple of very interesting remarks... especially if you're a Deadpool fan.

Last we heard, the team's roster will have five characters. Seeing as characters like Warpath, Sunspot, Bishop and Blink are being introduced in X-Men: Days of Future Past, it wouldn't be surprising if a couple of them made the cut. Cable and Deadpool have always felt like logical and even likely choices for the movie, and now Liefeld's tweets certainly seem to imply they'll have good roles in the upcoming movie -- especially if he's saying it seems "perfectly plausible" for a Deadpool movie to drop less than a year after X-Force. There's still a lot of details about the project which have yet to be released, but for right now, it's great to hear there's going to be at least some degree of fan service for those two characters.

Viners, do Liefeld's tweets get you excited for Wadlow's X-Force or are you taking his praise with a grain of salt? Speak your mind below.
