Report: James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender May Have Extended Their 'X-Men' Contracts

Could Magneto and Professor X be coming back for more X-Men films?

With X-Men: Apocalypse coming out early next year, many fans see the second X-Men trilogy come to a close and didn't really think that Michael Fassbender, who plays Magneto, and James McAvoy, who plays Charles Xavier, would be around if the series continued on, at least not in the large roles they had in the prequels.

According to a report from Heroic Hollywood, the two stars have made deals to continue playing the two characters. There is no confirmation from the actors or Fox as to whether this is true, but it does bring up an interesting point. Could we see these two actors in X-Men spin-offs? Could they appear in the third Wolverine film, Gambit, or even next year's Deadpool? Resigning with Fox could open up the doors to play smaller roles in other films in the X-Universe.

Originally, the two signed a three-film deal, and with X-Men Apocalypse looming on the horizon, that is the last film in said deal, and because both actors have really established themselves as these characters, fans are going to want to see them more. What do you think? Would you like to see these two continue playing these characters?
