Here's another independent comic that you might want to look into. It's published by Brett's Comic Pile. (I recently put up a preview for Spikey and Einstien). So if you're tired of the same old thing, let your local comic shop know you're interested and they should be able to order you a copy.
From the minds of Brian Vissagio, and Kevin Roberts. Brian, the writer, is presently a student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Kevin Roberts submitted "Sanctuary: Hope is Not Yet Lost" in digital form for his final project from VCU's Illustration School (one of the top in the country!). He received an "A" on this project. It is a wild Sci-Fi book that is fully digitally-painted in full-bleed color.
One way to think of it is as a "Power Rangers" type of book but with much more realism, weapons and pathos. This book is intended for ages 12 and up. Only $2.99!
The interiors are printed on heavy glossy paper that typical comic COVERS are printed on. Each has only 2 pages of ads and has more than 25 pages of stories plus great pin-up galleries. Cool! Additionally, each comic is limited to a 5,000 unit print run. Sanctuary has a limited 1:10 "virgin" cover. Ask your retailer how to get one.
