May the 4th be with you! Today, to celebrate Star Wars day, Vanity Fair revealed some photos from the set of the upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, hitting theaters on December 18, 2015. These aren't just any ordinary photos though. They were taken by photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Vanity Fair is doing a behind-the-scenes feature on the upcoming film and they'll have an interview with J.J. Abrams when the issue hits digitally on May 7 and physical copies come out May 12. Here's the cover:
In addition, we get to see the man behind the mask as Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver (Girls), walks around with some snowtroopers.
Here's a shot of Poe Dameron, played by Oscar Isaac, chilling next to his X-Wing.
Here's the assorted characters that hang out at Maz Kanata's cafe.
Lupita Nyong'o is covered in tracking dots in order to have her expressions match her character Maz Kanata.
On planet Jakku, Rey gets on her speeder, played by Daisy Ridley.
