Original Sin Teaser: Who is Next? [Updated]

Looks like it won't just be the Watcher that dies.

Marvel has released another teaser for Original Sin.

Could we be seeing more deaths in the Marvel Universe? There was a time we were getting several in one year. We haven't really had too many lately.

Here's a teaser that was released yesterday as well.

Edit

A third teaser has just been released. Who could be returning from beyond...?!?

Noooooooooooooooooooooo, not Uatu ;_;

A crime mystery, we haven't had one of those in awhile. Especially on a cosmic level. I'll check this out, but I still wanna know who killed the Living Tribunal!

So the Watcher is dead and so is the Living Tribunal

@jonny_anonymous:

Well the Living Tribunal died awhile ago in the pages of New Avengers. I don't think I'm spoiling anything cause that was really like six months ago or more if I remember right.

Edited by Jonny_Anonymous

@clawfist: I know, I'm just remarking on how weird it is that they are both dead.

Oh man, eye sure hope that was intentional, because it was amazing.

Is this still going on? Who cares who dies? No one stays dead in marvelnow! for long.

Ok, so I'm not that familiarized with Marvel's cosmic universe but isn't the watcher like part of an alien race or something? I mean... isn't there like more than one of them?

@tximinoman: There are but this one Uata was dedicated to to Earth( or was it the 616-universe) i forget. So it's a specific Watcher who has had various encounters with multiple marvel characters and events.

@tximinoman: I got my basic understanding of the Watchers by reading Marvel 1602. So, I would recommend reading that at your leisure. It's utterly brilliant, having been written by the always excellent Neil Gaiman, and it has a Watcher.

The Beyonder?

Edited by Jonny_Anonymous

Uh The Beyonder?

Posted by ArturoCalaKayVee

Who returns from the Beyond?

But it'll probably be The Beyonder -.-

Edited by RaggedScarecrow

For the resurrection, I'm betting on Professor X or, and this is the one I really want, Richard Rider.

Posted by saoakden

I'm actually looking forward to this. Should be interesting.

@arturocalakayvee: she's already brought back.. Sort of. The original x-men came to the present and just wrapped up the trial of Jean grey

Returning from beyond?

Yellow Pallet?

...

I think we all know where this is going.

Forbush Man is the killer, DUH guys.

Posted by bobgillinger

I'm hoping for Richard Rider to return from beyond

I know but that isn't the true Jean Grey. She's still dead. Past Jean doesn't make up for it.

Edited by Autopsad

I saw somewhere a question about Rider coming back and an authoranswered something like "wait for Original Sin", so I guess it's safe to say that Richard is coming back (although as we're talking about "cosmic" characters, i'd rather have Adam Warlock coming back but without the mage and the cocoon stuff...).

Geez this would make a good drinking game if I drank

I don't want to get my hopes up but with Peter back and if this part is true all of my top 5 heroes would all be alive at the same time for once.

THE LIVING TRIBUNAL WAS KILLED??? How is that even possible? How can a Watcher be shot without him seeing it coming? C'mon Marvel!

Maybe he wanted to be killed.

Also you all are fools for not realizing who is coming from "beyond".

Beyonder? If he was the one who killed the Watcher and Living Tribunal did they un-retcon and make him as powerful as he was in Secret Wars? If so, Secret Wars 3 could be cool.

So the Watcher is dead and so is the Living Tribunal

Not only that but the PF has been disbursed at least for now. Galactus is trapped in the Ult Negative Zone. The Celestials have sorta been usurped in purpose by the builders. There were some more that slip my mind.

It's like Marvel is trying to teardown and rebuild the universal blocks of how 616 works.

single eye? ominous text? lightning or energy all over the place?

could be the return of Odin

'It's like Marvel is trying to teardown and rebuild the universal blocks of how 616 works'

And they really damn should, though by now they kinda suck at that bringing even more disorder. There like 4 cosmics per each concept, and whoever is responsible for 'time' not just has to be fired for incompetence, but jailed for negligence..

Most of them were fine for the most part with some fixing. It becomes a problem when you get to.

The Celestials, Epoch, and Phoenix Force were just a wreck and overlapped way to much. Not to mention Death Seeds and concepts that were brought up in Age of Apocalypse concerning them. Bring in Hickman with infinity and what he brought in his series SHIELD along with those that were expanded upon in Secret Defenders/She Hulk just make you want to throw your hands up be done with it.

Time is just as bad.

@dernman:

Yep Hickman really does not help with his Builders and co., and then Franklin as the next Galactus (though this one I kinda like). I haven't read his SHIELD but I would guess his obssession with making pseudo-status-quo changing stories will be a big part of these series as well. PF was interpreted into too many concepts from the Big Bang to a simple harbinger of evolution, Celestials I still can't really figure what are their real purpose and how they actually play their role in the bigger plans. You mean the recent AOA? With those Anti-Celestials or whatever they were?

And if you start to dig further and try to get the whole picture, that's where the madness starts lol

Yes the anti-celestials. Then how it said the celestials built the multiverse but in Secret Defenders it was someone else. The whole thing is a mess. Maybe what they're doing now is a long plan and in the end it will make sense but I doubt it.

' but I doubt it.'

QFT.

I think writers like to use Celestials when they want to write another 'epic', but that's exactly how those Celestial-killing Jarnbjorns also happen. Yeah, and where exactly was this enhancement when Celestials arrived to judge the Earth for the first time and were opposed by the Pantheons? And how they were manipulated so easily by some muties? Where is this famous cosmic awareness? lol And Hickman also killed off the LT! How? Why? Maybe the infamous big reboot is really about to happen.

@jonny_anonymous: Maybe. I just hope what they replace it with plays out as well as the old.

@dernman: I have a feeling it will be Hickman that will be doing most of the rebuilding.

Nova should come back, and the Pete MJ marriage should as well. that'd be sweet. especially in Original Sin. my only concern is that, despite them saying they'll go all into detail about all the retcons and stuff being seen, Marvel has the tendency not to live up to what they tell people.

Wait, if it's just one eye, could this be the return of Agamotto. Just like in that one early issue of New Avengers during the HEROIC AGE run. Just sayin'

Edited by PiofNEPTUNE

@alex_reos: hmm... thats indeed a good thought, the eye of agamotto sees all, and now the return of the eyes owner will herald the coming of the truest of watchers indeed. (:)
