Olivia Munn is the Wasp?

She's keeping mum.

 Imagine if she played Rorschach.

Madame Masque? Scarlet Witch? Iron Maiden? What about the Wasp? Who should Olivia Munn play? The Attack of the Show hostess has been keeping, dare I say, mum, about the nature of her cameo in IRON MAN 2. As we know, she filmed a cameo earlier in production that was subsequently cut and replaced by a new scene with a new role that’s apparently fitting the darker tone the film took as it went along. I don’t think we’re ever going to find out from Ms. Munn before the release of the movie, because it sounds like, if she does, Marvel’s going to throw her into a triple-max security cell housed three miles down into the Earth.

At first, my finely-sharpened instincts would lead me to believe that this is a whole lot of fuss over something that’s probably going to be a silly part - - like Stan Lee playing “Larry King.” However, if that were the case, then what’s up with all this secrecy? It’s got to be something reasonably big if they’re trying so hard to keep it under wraps. Munn’s description of her character being from the Marvel Universe and being “what she’ll be known from now on” is a little telling. Slashfilm thinks she could be Janet Van Dyne - - the Wasp.

Maybe they’re right, maybe they’re wrong. I’ve never been good at guessing. I will say that I’m still a little surprised that Wasp and Giant-Man haven’t been brought up before in relationship to the AVENGERS movie. Right now, they’re saying that line-up's going to just consist of Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and the Hulk - - but doesn’t that seem a little limited? Especially since Wasp and Giant-Man are in the new cartoon, you’d think they’d be in the movie, too. Am I right? Hell, it’d dove-tail perfectly into that ANT-MAN they’re insisting Edgar Wright is still going to make.
