was going to see this.....but the song choice for the trailer was just...no.

I thought the song fit perfectly, captures the fun and excitement IMO.

I still think it's so so so so so so so so weird that they're not making any reference to this ostensibly being a Marvel production. The most lucrative brand in film today & they're choosing not to wedge "Disney Presents Marvel's Big Hero 6" as the title or anything.

So Baymax is a balloon robot? Okay.

Because it's not a Marvel production. It's a Disney production. The Marvel Studios" brand is specifically for their interconnected cinematic universe. BH6 has nothing to do with Marvel's cinematic universe, which is why they're not promoting it as a "Marvel film."

There are few business on Earth that understand and exploit the power of branding as well as Disney, so if they're not promoting this as a "Marvel" project, I think it's safe to assume that it's not an oversight, but something done after careful examination and consideration.

Also this film has barely anything in common with the actual comic

so its set in sanfrancisco but it looks like its taking place in japan. Was that a post production choice or something?

"Hairy Baby" is going to be repeated a lot after this. :)

I'm looking forward to this. I'm gonna try to grab the upcoming Baymax figure for Disney Infinity and see this on the same day.

@kalorama: Oh I get it, totally. They've obviously put a lot of thought & effort to position this as a production from their in-house animation studio, I just wouldn't have put it past Disney to use that brand name as leverage. Remember, they're the company that's bringing you "From the world of Cars- Planes: The Movie".

'SanFransokyo.' Presumably, a fictional mix between San Fran and Tokyo.

I'm not familiar with the source material, but the trailer was really well done. I'll be looking forward to this.

So the tape part made me chuckle to myself. I might have to check this out.

This is why i always wanted more 3d animated superhero films. Not only it's far easier to bring the comic book characters to life, the actions can be believably done on a much larger scale even if the story is not very deep or adult oriented. By the looks of it, the world they created seems very rich, detailed and colorful.

Looks fun, can't wait to see it in theaters.

It looks like this could be really good. It is kind of weird that it didn't say Marvel anywhere in the trailer, it seems like Disney would want to cross brand it. Either way, looks like huge improvement over the overrated Frozen, and this will be something more for the adults that loved Wreck it Ralph.

I'm a little too old for kids movies. Pass!!

Looks good. If it's even half as good as Wreck-it Ralph I'll be happy.

I love the song, but it reminded me of the live action Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, that movie sucked so hard.

If this gets a sequel and not Incredibles 2, I will flip a Marvel.

It's barely an adaptation anyways. Why aren't you complaining that Baymax is a balloon guy now? Is that shameful as well?
