Convention goers in the Chicago-area still have a few months until C2E2 returns to the Windy City, but they can start to get excited about the upcoming show by checking out the official poster for this year's event. C2E2 released the official poster for the upcoming comic book convention, taking place April 24-26 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
In the poster, Ultron, the villain in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron film, takes on Thor, Superior Iron Man, and Captain America over Lake Michigan, right outside of downtown Chicago.
The piece was created by artist Ryan Stegman and colorist Edgar Delgado and is a representation of Marvel currently has to offer fans. A signed version of this poster, by Stegman, will be given away to all those who purchased VIP tickets to this upcoming event.
The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, referred to as C2E2, is celebrating its 5th year of being Chicago's premiere comic book convention celebrating comics, entertainment, and all around geek culture and one of the biggest, if not the biggest, conventions in the midwest.
Also, if you like the poster enough, you can purchase the original art through Cadence Comic Art. The 11 X 17 piece, which is pencil and inks only with no background, is available on the website for $1000. There's also quite a bit of Stegman's other work available on the site as well.
Make sure to check out C2E2's website for all the information about the show including the panel schedule and list of guests. C2E2 is happening in Chicago at McCormick Place on April 24-26, 2015.
