New Valiant Miniseries By Lemire, Kindt & Rivera Announced

Some of Valiant's heroes will unite to face an evil force in this all-new miniseries.

Jeff Lemire's heading to the Valiant universe! The GREEN ARROW writer is teaming-up with writer Matt Kindt (RAI, UNITY) and artist Paolo Rivera (DAREDEVIL) for an all-new miniseries titled THE VALIANT. The story will feature the Eternal Warrior, a new Goemancer named Kay McHenry, and Bloodshot. The trio will square off a massive threat called the Immortal Enemy.

THE VALIANT will consist of 4 issues and it'll begin this December. Viners, who's going to pick this up? Let us know below!

I'll definitely give it a shot. I have been really enjoying Valiant (although a little less than whenever it first came out), and I am interested to see what Lemire brings to Valiant after great runs on Animal Man and Green Arrow.

Come on!

Comic industry: LEAVE MY WALLET ALONE!!

I still haven't read any Valiant, but if there's one way to force me to change that, it's Jeff Lemire. Hopefully this will be new reader friendly.

I'll pick up the trade.

Will definitely pick this up. VALIANT RULES! (Too bad people rarely buy from them :( )

Sweet! I'll pick this up, I like all 3 of the creators here.

Although, not to knock the colourist or inker, but does anyone else prefer Rivera's work in raw pencil?

I don't know, I love Lemire, Kindt is awesome and Rivera doesn't seem bad. I just don't want to read this.

@the_stegman: @dagmar_merrill: How comes you guys don't like it?

I've read every current Valiant title (first four or so issues of each) and the only one that was remotely interesting to me was Quantum & Woody.

@jonny_anonymous: I meant besides that, I have no idea about who these characters are. I've read one issue of Bloodshot and that was the free one Comicvine gave out. This normally wouldn't be a problem except this is a universe with some backstory to it. So, I wouldn't want to join in for a mini series blind.

@dagmar_merrill: There isn't much back story, it's a hell of a lot easier than getting in to DC/Marvel.

Hopefully he will get his own title.

I would have prefered a Ninjak ongoing by LEMIRE, but that's fine.

this Immortal Enemy design look a lot like a few design from Animal-man (mainly from the Rot andthe red)

I'll get this. If Eternal Warrior is in this mini, does that mean his series is still on hiatus?

uhm...kay has been the geomancer since they introduced that archtype in the valiant universe. glad they are FINALLY using her, was hoping she would stick with archer and armstrong or get her own series....NOPE. not even in unity sigh. oh well better late then never i guess

I tried Valiant before (Harbinger was the only that appealed to me at the time), and didn't really enjoy it. The creative team on this might be enough to pull me in, though.

Ninjak steals the spotlight in Unity, thats really all he needs.

I would assume so. But Cary Nord is working on something with him.
