Really excited to play this but i despise the costumes right now. Hopefully you can choose alternate ones

@EuanLauder: it would be super cool if they had alternate costumes from the Multiverse. Ultra Man, President Superman, Kingdom Come Superman, etc.

I will buy this game if and only if the Crimson Centipede makes an appearance.

Damn, some folks want like every character from DCU in this lol. It's not like MK or SF where there's only 64-70 characters max. I've noticed DC and Marvel have like hundreds of them lol. No way that they're all making it but I think the iconic, popular and cool ones will make it. I just want Martian Manhunter, Doomsday, Zod and hopefully(but I doubt it) Spectre! He'd wreck everyone let's face it lol. I'd like to see Bizarro in it, having opposite moves of Superman or unless they take the alternate costumes route and give him Bizarro's look. I'll bet mr. Freeze or cap cold are in it, they need a Sub-Zero like character.

I wouldn't worry that much, I think it looks more like Dark Knight mixed with new 52 mixed with hints of Arkam City with the armor personally. I like it. Although I definitely don't agree that it looks like the 97 Batman & Robin costume lol, that costume sucked and had nipples. This looks way more badass to me.

But in an interview with NRS forget which video but they confirmed alternate costumes hehe, so don't be surprised if you see like 3 or 4 different costumes per character like they did in MK9. I'm pumped!

I agree, people need to be openminded and stop living in the past. For a game like this especially, one thing I love about NRS is their more photorealistic, darker, somewhat realistic touch to their games with costumes, armor, bruising, torn clothes etc. I mean it's a fighter with people with powers beating the hell out of each other. Not one scratch or just spandex would be kind of dumb imo. Good post. I'm with ya.

Everything's got to be 'photorealistic' and 'darker' and 'badass', these days, ooh. Things should make more sense in the comic book world cause 'were the realist generation, f*** yeah!' Screw that bronze age campy child's play crap, right? New 52, f*** yeah bro! *pumps fist* How open minded does a man have to be before his mind spills out of his skull? You want you're future, you can have it. My bus stops here.

And btw, does this mean we're going to see Grundy again in ink soon or what? More sleeveless trends, f*** yeah! If Captain Cold can do it so can the rest of us!

Eh, I suppose it's about preference ultimately. Me, personally I can't stand fighters that look like I'm watching an anime while giving me seizures and migraines lol. Plus, something about NRS style and DCU in general blend together, take Dark Knight for example and the many darker JL, Superman stories. It's why I like it I suppose. To each his own though.

Yeah, I hear ya. It's funny, one of my friends is a huge Marvel fan and only really knows Superman, Batman from DC. But not much about Grundy and other characters, so he asks me why is there a Hulk ripoff in the game? lol I'm like dude, Grundy is nothing like Hulk. Oh yeah, well there were times in the comics where Batman held his own against Grundy, and I think that one DC original movie Batman was nearly drowned by Grundy and then woke up and kicked his butt, but out of fairness Grundy was also being controlled by Gorilla Grodd via telepathy. There's also different versions of Grundy too, wasn't there a magical version that was like nearly impossible to stop? Then the regular grundy. But yeah, I'm sure DC and MK writers will explain it since they're working together, probably something to give certain people like Batman super power or super armor enhancing his strength or something. I'm hoping Doomsday, Martian Manhunter are in the game!!

Wow, the hate is strong for this. I actually think it looks pretty good. I do think there m ay be a bit too much armor on most of them though. Wonder what the final cast will look like.
