MOON KNIGHT!! Do I have to say more? A new Moon Knight series by Bendis and Maleev? Is that still not enough to grab your attention? How about this new teaser image?
I may have mentioned once or twenty-eight times that I love Moon Knight. I also love that Bendis will be writing this. What I don't love is how every Moon Knight series starts out strong and then fizzles out. I need my monthly fix of Moon Knight. Let's hope this one lasts. And it's coming in May, just in time for my birthday. Thanks Marvel!
With the different versions of Moon Knight we've had, where do you want him to go in this series? Should he stick with the Avengers or go back to his solo butt-kicking adventures?
Too bad. Bendis is planning a complete overhaul of everything Moon Knight. I believe the words "complete reinvention" were used. That's the official way of saying, "I'm too lazy to research this character and write him correctly." "

I'm pretty sure those are there just to emphasize the quote, "All the avenger you'll ever need". It's not literally going to happen, I think its just symbolism.
So they can have a Moon Knight series (despite the fact that he sucks and never was really that successfully in his own series) but not a Spider-Woman series.

I think it would've made more since for him to be Matt's Replacement than T'Challa

i love Moon Knight and have been really let down with lack of action in secret avengers (minus the last issue were he is in two places at once) Bendis is hit and miss for me so we will see.
Hey my birthday is in may too! I also am a moon knight fan. My favorite run was Vengeance of the moon knight. tho and I hope they keep its style and momentum.

My bad... I meant to write Powers, not Criminal. On top of Powers, Bendis is writing Scarlet as well.
So add that to his many monthly titles. This is why I feel most of his stuff is subpar. He's writing so many monthlies and his material suffers for it. He isn't putting enough focus on the books because he's putting them together quickly to meet his deadlines. Writing mini-series after mini-series only adds to his generally lackluster final results. I think Marvel needs to tell him to slow down. Either drop some of the books he's writing or give them to someone else.
Bendis has produced some great modern super hero stories. (ultimate spider-man, daredevil, and yes some of the avengers) Unfortunately he's prone to dribbling dialogue and redundant plots (skrulls anyone?) when not kicking ass. Seeing how his daredevil still holds up as one of the best marvel runs i've read, willing to give it more then a chance. Something about his work is very tight, no matter how much i like to hate on him, reviewing his work as a whole.. there is a damn good writer there. just stick him on one avengers title not 2. He must inspire a great deal of faith and money for them to flagship him still after all these years. That says something beyond one of his two panel fight sequences.
I freakin love Moon Knight! I have every book he is in, and I am always so upset that they end up cancelled. I hope they can keep it going. He is such a bad ass! With some very notable issues!
I love Moon Knight as well, but some of the recent stuff has been less than great. I would love to see new stuff though. Cause I all ways love new stuff. LOL!
i don't know much about moon knight but i'll pick it up in trades just like i'll do for black panther man without fear. i'll get him a shot i hope i 'll like mk.
G-Man, you just made my day!!! This is awesome we've finally got an official promo pic and month for the series to begin! Moon Knight is by far my favorite Marvel character so I've been looking forward to this since Vengeance Of The Moon Knight got dropped (which I'm still mad about). I like the pic but the words "All The Avengers You'll Ever Need" kinda worries me. I hope they don't fill MK's books up with too many other mainstream characters just so it sells. If they have a good story for it, I'm all for guest appearances. I don't know if I'm a huge fan of the art but I'm sure it'll grow on me, as long as the story is good. The elements of Wolverine, Captain America and Spider-Man are quite interesting. MAY IS GONNA BE EPIC!
Moon Knight needs to be solo. The Avengers already have tie-ins with several other series out there and really don't need anymore characters to bog them down. Besides, Moon Knight out on the streets alone makes for darker and more suspenseful stories. Yes, they can throw in a guest star every once in awhile, but you don't want the book to (as you said) fizzle out.
I do hope this book turns out to be good. I have always wanted to read Moon Knight, but never pulled the trigger. I tend to like Bendis writing solo characters, opposed to team books, so I'll check out the first few issues for sure. I just hope this isn't met with delays.
Although I do like Moon Knight running solo, I also enjoy watching him mix it up with other characters as well. He's had some pretty cool team-ups with Spider-Man and Punisher in the past, and I'd like so see how him and Wolverine would get along.
I heart Moonie!! Moonie Moonie Moonie! Cool, I do hope this survives monthly. Such a great character that needs some "tweaking" in my opinion but just minimally. I prefer him solo but when he's interacting with The Avengers, it throws in some new dynamics which I enjoy, so I will take Moonie anyway I can get him. Cool news.
I'm really jazzed about a new Moon Knight title, especially from these two guys. Vengeance was cool, a little rocky at times, but I really dig it. Like, MK is as dark and twisted as Batman should be. At the same time MK is his own thing, meaning not a complete rip off of Bats. He has more depth to his character than Batman. Meleev's covers always look cool, I just hope his interior art is better than the Roto-Scope Scarlet.
Really excited for this! I loved Alias so I trust Bendis. I just hope this Moon Knight series is similar to the older ones (Huston run and older) or even darker.
