New JUSTICE LEAGUE Art Team Announced

Best news I've had all week

I'm glad they had someone take over art duties from Jim Lee. I ususally love his art, but his work on Justice League has been very subpar.

Though no one will ever match Lee's work, I'm cool with the change. However, my question is:

Who will be drawing Aquaman now?

DC hates Aquaman!!! They're going to ruin that title now that they're changing artists.

I could tell from afar of the thumbnail for this story that Ivan Reis was going to take over art duties like Joe Prado would. I could sense their art a mile away. Great stuff, even if it will be sad to see Lee go :(

YES!! Seems like Jim Lee is suffering from what John Byrne did late is his career, their art was trend setting and made numerous books popular and great reads just by being on them, but their later work seems rushed and sloppy compared to earlier work.

Lee's Wildcats looked so much better then his Justice League run, as did Byne's FF stuff compared to his Spider-Man run.

So Bravo for the change and going with REIS, maybe now we can really get a idea of how cyborg is supposed to look?

Wow, Green Lantern quitting sucked, but Flash to really sucks. This shit sucks.

If anyone could take over for Jim Lee, it is most definitely Ivan Reis.

I knew Lee couldn't hang tough. He couldn't even get through a single year on a monthly, without a couple of fill-in artists and a second feature to eat up the page count. On top of that, his work has looked rushed and sloppy, as the series has progressed. Reis is a strong choice for DC's flagship. His professionalism and ability to meet deadlines should keep this title on track. I'll miss his work on Aquaman, but, at least he'll still be drawing Aquaman on a monthly basis.

The downside to this is that Ivan won't be drawing aquaman anymore. I can't imagine anyone filling his shoes on that book.

Bleedingcool predicted it, and they predicted this whole art switch about a month or two ago.

rumors are that they're leaving Aquaman, which sucks to be sure, cuz I'm a huge Aquaman fan and have been enjoying the spotlight he's gotten, but can we just sit and reflect on how awesome a Justice League series written by Johns and drawn by Reis, and inked by Prado could be? It could even replace Morrison and Porter's JLA as my fav Justice League run.

So Shazam and Atom join the team but nothing mentioned about what happens to Flash...

I do like consistency across books but I will really miss Jim Lee's take on Aquaman, (especially since that awesome New 52 figure came out recently).

I also worry what this means for Arthur's solo book. Taken a talent like Reis from the series cannot be good for sales.

Awesome! I love Ivan Reis! Though it does stink that he'll probably have to leave Aquaman.

Actually knew this was coming at some point,the art in aquaman is completely flawless and sometimes better than jim lee's justice league,except when JL (jim lee) really gets into it, ivan reis is definitely the man for the job the only other guy in jim's league imo

yup,not to big not too small just rite! plus been waitin for Ivan reis to draw superman and the others more often,his shazam is awesome as well.He better be replaced by somone awesome on Aquaman,been used to only his style since Brightest day.

Damn you Johns! This future story info plus the new art team is making me want to give Justice League gives other chance. I guess Barry is out and Shazam is in.

I hope they don't leave Aquaman as there isn't anything saying they are and I hope it's a good series Lee moves on to as I also love his art. But it couldn't have been a better choice as to who was replacing him

I fear for Aquaman :(

Jim Lee isn't going anywhere. His art has always taken him more time, so the idea that he was going to stay on one book long-term was really always a fantasy.

He's also working on the DC event for 2013 - Trinity War. So we'll have more Jim Lee goodness soon enough.

Glad he quits, I don't like his style.

im surprised he stayed on this long. I have enjoyed his art but if the above cover pages are by the new artist then i am fine with it. I like them too.

Because an artist can only do so much at one time. I can't remember any artist who has worked on multiple titles simultaneously

Yeah, writing takes a lot less time and effort than art duties does.

I don't know about less effort, but less time, sure.

IVAN REIS! OMG OMG OMG OMG! We got a preview of his work in one of previous Justice League titles. DC you really came through for us this time!

I think rather than art, the writer should change! Geoff Johns is probably getting saturated with JL..

I really like Cyborgs design in the first picture and Wonder Woman looks good in the second picture, and Aquaman looking like a badass in both.

This looks really great! I'm so glad this is happening, I love the depiction of Cyborg especially. But where's Flash?

I think Reis might actually leave Aquaman, but as long as they get a quality artist to take his place, say maybe Phillip Tan, then I would be fine with that. As long as Johns doesn't leave Aquaman as well. *knock on wood*

I've only seen a few of Phillip Tan's work. It's not bad at all.

A justice league with Shazam and Superman and Wonder Woman. The enemy doesn't stand a chance haha. This is good.

To everyone who is saying where is Flash. Hal was the reason he joined the JUstice League. Maybe he decides since Hal isn't there and everything else that is happened and supposed to happen he finally decides its time for him to call it quits
