New 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Image and Official Synopsis

Looks alright, nothing huge.

I am more worried about the huge number of characters that are going to be explored like Neubla and i even heard rumors about possibly including Carina Walters or even Korvac.

We all the the orb is going to be one of the infinity gem, Thanos most likely is going to end up with the gem in the post credit, its a shame we dont have adam warlock.

Groot looks absolutely stunning, Gamora doesn't really look like Gamora to me though. Drax is too bulky. Star-Lord looks good and Rocket Raccoon is fine.

To be honest, that's how I feel about EVERY SINGLE movie that Ro--"Dwayne Johnson" is in. It's going to be equally as weird/hard for me to see him as Drax and not Space Batista.

Gamora and Drax look really disappointing; basically people in green paint. I've been holding out hope this was just some really early footage that was going to receive touch ups, but if they are giving an official press release with the picture, then it is not likely. Groot and Rocket Raccoon look amazing, better than I ever would have expected, no complaints there at all.

Starlord just looks like a guy. I really hope they end up giving him a costume, and not just the mask. And I still don't see Pratt as Starlord physically, but hopefully his acting can change my mind.

Everyone looks amazing but my WWE mind won't allow me to see Drax. MetH only see's Batista cosplaying.

Well, aside from I think Vin Diesel should be Drax and not Groot, and I don't get why Gamora is a redhead now, I am looking forward to this. Karen Gillian as Nebula is going to be mind blowing!!

@spideysense44 I agree on Drax, well on his appearance anyway. they need to simplify the marking on his body... too much going on. You know that saying, "sometimes a little is a lot"... so some crap like that but in this case its not crap because he almost looks red. lol I don't know anything about the "actor" or character so it'll be my first impression of him... hopefully it gives the character justice.

@samyroc: I cant really say alot on Bradley voicing Rocket mainly because i dont know what voice he is going to use for it. Ive heard him speak with a french, british, and american accent but it really depends on what route they take,but yea that Drax thing has me concerned alot. I see what they were trying to do by making the markings on his body have more meaning and making them look like symbols(kinda what they did with nightcrawler in xmen) but its way too much red.Hopefully it will look better since this picture still is "unfinished"

@spideysense44: Yep I have the same concerne about Drax, there is the fact that Bradley Cooper will be voicing Rocket Raccoon that get me a little bit worried.

Drax feels off since it's Batista. I mean he's even coming back to the WWE on January 20th. I wouldn't be surprised is He wrestles in Wrestlemania.

@flazam: I bet not, Thor 2 trailer came out a month before Iron man 3, Cap 2 trailer came out a month before Thor 2. Same will happen here. It will come out in March, a month before Cap 2.

What about the Collector and Thanos? It is because of the mid-credits scene in Thor: The Dark World that I am even giving this movie a chance. If the movie is any good then I will definitely be reading Guardians of the Galaxy comics.

Second that, the final battle of Thor 2 and Iron Man 3's overuse of comedy is getting to me as of late. I think they can make movies appealing to kids too without making it overly cartoonish and goofy. It's spoiling the quality of their movies.

Starlord and Gamora have red hair? Drax's skin is now red? I knew a lot of comic book aesthetics weren't gonna translate to film (they had a lot of green) but I don't know if I like all the red... Lmao that's probably what got me do stop buying the new Teen Titans.

@thatdudereeg: that still is the same one at the end of the leaked trailer though, unless he means they released it early. But Drax and Gamora looked great in the fighting scenes (Gamora looked like she had black hair, or possibly hopefully a dark, dark green lol)
