More Official Images from 'The Avengers' Movie

Now we get a clearer look at the heroes in action.

Last week we got to see the first official images from 'The Avengers.' The images were from Entertainment Weekly with some a little fuzzy. Superhero Hype has received some clearer versions, giving us a better look at the action.

What, you want more pictures?
What, you want more pictures?

It's hard to believe that the movie is coming out in just eight months. It's always felt like it was so far off. It's unfortunate that we see so much of movies these days before they're released but at least these official images help some of the movie magic remain intact.

Let's hope there is still a lot they are managing to keep a secret. There's a lot riding on this movie. The grand scale of getting all the characters together in one film won't be easy.

Take a look at these other high-res images.

Iron Man 1 & 2 were amazing, Thor was fantastic, The Hulk was incredible (yeah, yeah), and Cap was superb. If all of that can come out in this movie then I'm sure we'll have the ultimate comic book movie on our hands.

I keep getting this weird feeling that it's going to be like G.I. Joe simply because of how it looks. I don't think it'll be awful like Rise of Cobra, but it won't be that great either.

I like the shorter hair on Black Widow. Looks way better now than she did in Iron Man 2. Other than that my only concern is Sam Jackson. I hope they keep his screen time to a minimum. Too much Sam Jackson can be a little over bearing.

woah, woah....GI Joe had crap everything though, crap director...crap screenplay...crappy actors (the main characters at least). Avengers has a lot more going for it. Especially Whedon...that man is great at handling comic book kind of material.

I have to wonder, if Cap has his cowl in his "locker" with his new uniform, why isn't he wearing it while next to Thor? Is it that he just decided not to wear it or did it get damaged in a fight and removed (because he has clearly been through the ringer here)? hmm...

@Full_Spectrum:

Sentimental reasons? Maybe the picture of him next to Thor is earlier in the movie than the one of him standing next to his new costume? Maybe the new costume got destroyed in a fight and he had to go back to the old one? It could be any reason.

Looking closely at the picture of him with Thor and him with the costume in the case makes me think that the costumes are the same. The one he's wearing next to Thor looks exactly the same as the one in the case except dirtier. The pop out star, things on the shoulder, the belt, etc. look the same. I guess cleanliness just makes a big difference.

EDIT: Nevermind.... I guess I didn't read your question closely enough. It probably got damaged or as they are looking up it might have been removed for dramatic reasons. *something incredible happens in the sky and the hero takes off his cowl and looks up*, but then again I can't find it anywhere else in the picture so who knows?

If you don't like the Black Widow image - there's something wrong with you.

And I have very high expectations when it comes to a film portrayal of Natasha.

I predict this movie will be good but not as good as I'd expected to considering all of the build up, the weak casting and and the usual film adaptation cop outs.I predict there will be one thing in this film that is absolutely unforgivably horrible.

@Grand Marvelous: Weak casting? That's one of the silliest statements I have ever read on this site, and that's truly saying something. What "usual film adaption cop out" are you referring too?

Well first of all it's my opinion and second of all you can be cool with Scarlet Johansson playing Black Widow or Chris Evans playing Captain America but i'm not cool with it. Scarlet's small part in Iron Man was god awful. You're acting like you're reacting something I said that was false.

Usual Film Adaptation cop out refers to how these studios that make these film always offer all of this build up and pandemonium around the film and then you go see it and it's simply not as good as advertised. Most adaptation films suck. I can only think of about 4 that I didn't absolutely hate.

I know it's your opinion, and you're entitled too it. I'm glad you actually took the time to elaborate on your post from earlier, unlike most users who couldn't offer an acceptable argument to save their skin.

I don't mind Scarlet as Black Widow. She was acceptable in the role, and served her purpose in Iron Man 2. Emily Blunt would've been far better casting, but she made the mistake of doing a Jack Black film instead.

Chris Evas was stellar as Steve, in my opinion. He played the humble, reserved character the script demanded with relative ease, and he certainly looked the part. My only issue (and it's not something I obsess over), is that Chris's voice isn't as booming or commanding as many have always heard Steve. That could possibly change in this film.

Adaptions from comic books? Or adaptions from novels, T.V. shows, graphic novels, comic books, video games, etc. etc.?

Comic Adaptation is what I mean but most adaptations of anything aren't any good IMO. I know that people say that when you watch a movie based on something else you should try to forget all that you already know about what the film is based on and you should go in with an open mind and not expect it to match...but for me casting for these films has been a complete joke. Chris Hemsworth is a good Thor, Robert Downey Jr. is a great Iron Man, Hugh Jackman is a good Wolverine, Patrick Stewart was a good choice for the Professor and for me that's pretty much where the line is drawn, most casting choices seem like they didn't bother even trying..and they change characters races too, which to me is absolutely annoying.

Chris Evans is not Steve Rogers to me. When you think of someone who is a war hero, an American hero, this guy who other superheroes even ones far more powerful than him are willing to take orders from because they respect him so much for what he's done. You don't think Chris Evans. He's simply not right for that part. I didn't dislike the Captain America film but then again I liked Spider-Man 2 but I can't stand Tobey Mcguire as Spider-Man.I just think that film was written really well.
