Have you been reading Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev's new Moon Knight series? Issue #2 came out yesterday (reviewed here) and the craziness continues. Of course by 'craziness,' I'm not just talking about the action.
Moon Knight has always been a complex character. he's juggled different personas for years and it looks like it's finally caught up to him. If you've been reading, you know that Moon Knight has relocated to Los Angeles. Given what some people say about L.A., he should fit in perfectly, right?
More importantly, this is a great move because it allows the Marvel Universe to finally expand further beyond New York City. Sure, we've seen other locations but we don't often get a major title set outside of New York.
If you haven't been reading this series so far, I'm going to reveal something that I've already alluded to, Moon Knight is pretty crazy. He's seeing things in his head. This is affecting the way he fights. In some ways, that's a good thing. It's given him new ways to take on his enemies. In other ways, it seems he may not be at the same level of being able to kick ass as he was just a little while ago in the pages of Secret Avengers.
In issue #2, he is getting closer to discovering who the new mysterious kingpin of LA is and has a stunning and familiar ally. But check out the cover for issue #3. Is that really Bullseye and what does it mean for Moon Knight and his new friend? Perhaps the preview pages will give us some indication?
== TEASER ==Issue #3 is on sale July 20, 2011.
