Green Arrow's facing the team, will it be as a friend or foe?

You've probably already seen the cover to JUSTICE LEAGUE #8 by Jim Lee. Apparently Green Arrow is coming after the Justice League. He doesn't look too happy. It might be because he's never been invited to be a member of the team. Check out that cover here if you haven't seen it already.

Today, DC has revealed the variant cover by Mike Choi.

This time he looks a little happier. Maybe they did finally invited him to join the team. But DC also included a quote from Batman:

We all know what happened when we let someone ELSE in to the Justice League. It ended very badly.

What the heck does that mean?!? Guess there's still a lot we don't know from the five years between the first arc and the current.

JUSTICE LEAGUE #8 is on sale April 18, 2012.

not appealing at all to me. the style is cheesy... GA has blue beetle's goggles on? dumb. also, technically speaking he looks superimposed onto the ground of the image. he doesn't look like he's interacting with the environment.

I cant believe he is still getting working after that issue of GL.

Cool cover but pretty bad shotty for a professional comic artist (imo)

I love how indifferent GA looks in this. Superman and Batman glaring, GL being an ass, Wonder Woman wants in his pants, and Aquaman's trident just too large for this cover :P But GA's face is sooo damn close to turning into a troll face right here. C'mon, Ollie, you know you want to :)

DC.... I hope they don't ruin other characters, GA seems good so far but the character in this series (like they say) don't act like the one on their respective's books and btw F**K U DC!!! HOW COULD THEY DO THAT TO BILLY? WHY DC ??? WHY???

Okay, I understand this cover now. They had Green Arrow join them to take down Amazo because he didn't have Ollie's powers. I really do think its funny that Hal is calling Ollie a loser behind his back. lol

It's a little early to be getting super pissed at DC yet. We've literally only seen 5 pages of this new Captain Marvel, and although he initially seems like an a-hole, we don't exactly know yet.

...Why do I get the feeling Batman's quote is a sign the Justice League is gonna be a team of elitists in the New 52. u_u What a drag, since I expected somewhat better in the long run. After all, no matter what, the JLA is an elite team of heroes, NOT a team of elitists.
